Looks great! The gimp I keep in my basement has a bunch of jars colonizing also. The gimp is using 8 oz. jars. I might be wrong, but it looks like you're dog is using 8 oz. jars also.Is your dog going to birth the cakes and leave them whole, or go a different route? Also, what was the average time for complete colonization? - Insomnia ------------------ I CHOKED LINDA LOVELACE!

your classic pf strain and a simple br+verm substrate. avg time for complete colonization is 3-4 weeks. fairly normal when using full pint jars. not sure what to do with the cakes. could birth them and wait for first flush, or they could be cased. however, casing would take more time/funds, neither of which are presently available. any suggestions would be helpful. i'll keep you guys updated over the following weeks...

alright, i'm looking for some advice as to how i should go abouts attending to these jars. right now, they're about 90%+ colonized, sitting upside-down, a constant 70 degree temp. and getting about 4-5 hours of indirect light per day. does this sound like the best setup for them right now? also, i've decided not to case and to simply let the cakes fruit by themselves. if it takes 4 weeks to fully colonize, what kind of time-frame should i be expecting them to fruit in?
