Auroras are supposed to be visible there pretty often as well, I’m ecstatic.

Ya I plan on getting a more mobile one around that price range as well as setting up a home observatory.

It’s taking all the restraint I have not to throw a tent in my car and drive 20 hours to the property and camp for a few nights.

Do it! I did several of those trips this year; including heading up into the snow to camp so that I could get some fresh air, forest and stars. It was always worth the long drive and hike in.

Trying real hard to think but that's nearly 20 years ago. Eh as I'm thinking about it I think it's saturn's rings but I never id saturn with the naked eye.

My star boos be my star boos cuz they're the only ones I consistently recognize. Sometimes the dippers and big bear.

Used to have constellation maps too but I was too :derp: to understand them.

I'm having to do a project even though I'm supposed to be moved on a new team but I gotta do this cuz the only other lady that can do it is busy having a baby (and good for her, really, nice lady, probably makes good babies) but I'm also supposed to be training my replacement who randomly decided to take vacation *(fine) and all that's... kinda shitty a little bit.

The shitty shitty part is that it's fucking Florida and Florida is a goddamn dumpster fire when it comes to government agencies that manage bureaucratic bullshit.

I'm over here just ready to be like

I'm so happy that when I'm done with this I'll just be working with small business.
