what do you think is the best tool song to shroom to?

i think it's either the patient or lateralus. ok, there cant be the same number 1 for everyone. so just say your fave! other ones i love when shrooming are euolgy, pushit (salival version), pushit (original) and my third eye (live) and its original.

It's definitely not my favorite Tool song, but Die Eier Von Satan (sp?) sounds funny while tripping.

That song is great. It's all about this recipe for "The Egg Of Satan". Just some dish made over there for breakfast I think. Anyway, "Reflection" is my fav. Tool song for when I'm out there.

I didn't know there were many Tool fans here. Glad to see some.

Merkaba, Salival Third Eye, either versions of Pushit, and Reflections all would be awesome. I have to say the best though might be Stinkfist.

First time I shroomed, I put on Stinkfist.

When this part came on... it was so beautiful. I closed my eyes, and I was floating in a blue swirly place, with amps, speakers, and guitars floating. Music notes were flying around me. One of my favourite moments in tripping.

I've never tripped ( :frown: ), but I like to think it's "Disposition" and "Reflection"

Holy shit, Shroomery is the best community out there. Tool is my favorite band...46 & 2 was scary as hell last time I was day tripping and peaking, Maynard sounded like he was in pain or something.
To be honest I haven't listened to Tool much lately when tripping, just rolling (Lateralis/Disposition/Reflection combo is great for this), but The Patient, Pushit (salival AND original), Third Eye are all excellent.

Disposition/Reflection would probably be my fav's..but as has been said already, Aenima and Lateralus are both incredible albums. :mushroom2:

My first post here, Im still trying to figure this place out but this thread looked like a solid place to start. Tool has really inspired me lately, and I think that Parabol/Parabola is one of their best. The lyrics saying that "this body holding me...all pain is illusion...we are eternal" are really what get me. That way of thought is what I'm about. And yeah, the live version of Third Eye w/ Tim Leary are words that I take seriously.

Whoa, there's a live version with Tim Leary's words? I've heard the version with Bill Hicks in the beginning, but never with Leary

Yeah, it's the whole speech about questioning authority and thinking for the self. He talks about the ocean of chaos and the authorities that give us rules to comfort us despite our lack of knowledge regarding our own existence. The part that really hits me are the words regarding the vulnerable open-mindedness that people need to inform themselves and find their own reality. Anyway, that's the speech in a nutshell if you haven't heard it.
