Grew up in a village of 100
went to high school while living in a city of 10 000
but loved the anonymity of Montréal, with its millions+ pop

on a farm or acreage, nosy neighbours don't tend to/can't really peek into the yard
but in small town life everybody cares about the gossip

still know the name of the dude who fucked a horse during my high school years
even despite having no idea who he actually was nor ever, to my knowledge, seen him around town
