just using lent as a excuse, I read about lent a few days ago and I dont totally understand it, its supposed to represent the 40 days Jesus fasted in the desert, it starts on Ash wednesday and ends Easter sunday, but thats 46 days inbetween not 40, some people say you are not supposed to count sundays, and that makes it 40 days, but that dosnt really make sense to me either


The number 40 connects to the 40 years the Jewish people are supposed to have spent wandering the desert after being led out of Egypt by Moses, until they found the promised land.

I just checked my ketones it said medium,  40 mg/dl, but I just used a piss test not a blood test

I have no plans tonight :okay:. I really need some rest, and I have to head into work tomorrow and Sunday to check in on some data that's migratin', pretty much make sure nothing dumb happens. But it feels kind of weird. My place still feels kinda new, it's at least a 30 minute drive from any of my friends, I've got it all to myself until mid next week, so I can't help but feel a little meh about it.

Its been like 20 hours since I last checked my ketones and they are still at 40, Im going to keep checking every 12 hours or so till it reads 80, but my strips are expired so maybe they arnt giving accurate readings

I tried making a post on /r/keto but piss strips is a banned topic and my post was deleted, the deletion post referred me to their wiki that said piss strips cant be used to measure ketosis

but I disagree, I dont eat, colour appears, I eat carbs colour disappears, thats accurate enough for me, but they were butt hurt enough over piss strips to ban the topic

Hella late here as usual, saw the posts about stink bugs and I have to comment on it cause I had a stink bug invasion back in 2016. As in I found almost a hundred of them all at once, it was horrifying. Apparently they really love cotton shirts.

The best way to destroy a stink bug is with a cup (party cup preferable) or any container you're ok with throwing away, in a mixture of dish soap and water. The dish soap penetrates their shell thus allowing the water to drown them completely, minimal to no smell and they can't climb out once in. The second best way is with a bug zapper and hold the button so they fry completely but can get smelly.
