I do as it goes. Not that I'm much good at it but it's a fun game.

Not so much online mind you; for me it's a face to face game, like cards.

And in the spirit of the thread; I went to a work bash last night and it literally couldn't have gone any better if I planned it myself. Won the raffle, ended up hobnobbing with the big cheese for twenty minutes, which should stand me in good stead to get my contract renewed, and made a bunch of new friends to boot!

I bought it based off the "shelf talker" description and got home and the label on the back said basically the exact opposite :sad:

I like my wine to be like a kick to the face, super dry/tannic full bodied flavor bomb. this tastes like im drinking watered down grape juice

fuck it though I'm buzzed and can wash it down with some even worse whiskey later on. tis the season! :crankeyclaus:

IRL chess is one of my favorite activities, but i rarely get to play

computer chess doesn't really do it for me

do you guys get into specific openings/defenses when you play chess?

I played online for a little while and did great at first but as it started setting me up against better competition I started getting crushed. Had a couple routine openings and defenses but never really mastered them. Love the game though and want to study it more when I get the free time. The Bobby fisher teaches chess book helped a lot with all the simulations, I'm sure there's much better online programs.

I kinda prefer games like poker that are mostly skill but the beginner can still crush a tourney every now and then. I love in person poker but online is boring as hell with all the HUD's and EV crap

I always play the board. I don't use the pre-defined strategies. I know that sounds like BS, but I still win quite a bit.. or at least I used to, since I don't play much these days. But I also take my time and think through everything pretty thoroughly - I'm not a speed player. I like to spend a long time on a game, maybe smoke some bongz back & forth

I'm trying to learn more openings.....but for now if im white I play the Queens Pawn: Chigorian Variation. And if I'm black I love the Scandinavian Defense: Modern Variation....most of the time.

But ya i feel like it really comes down to that mid game.

Man chilling and just smoking bongs playing a slow game of chess sounds like a party!!!! for real! :awehigh:

Man I'm down if you can get something arranged. I'm back in England from Xmas to the end of Jan, but would be happy to come down for a weekend before/after.

Was looking to head down a few weekends ago but I couldn't get hold of koods and cannabinated didn't have a cell phone.

Didn't wanna spend 9 hours on a bus without being certain I'd be meeting someone at the other end!!

I used to love playing chess.com with coworkers/friends where you had days to make your move. Having time to think things out makes it almost a different game. Had to be able to trust people not to just enter the board into a simulator and game it though

Yo dudes. Went on a walk earlier and found these bad boys in the Wendy's parking lot at lunch time. Everybody was staring as I filled my bag with shrooms. It's legal so they couldn't do anything if they wanted to.

Finding mushrooms in shopping centers is much better than having to search through cow fields!!! I'm going to check my other spot later too because I left some babies there 3 days ago and they should be matured by  now I hope.

Besides that I'm watching the sunset behind the bay and then off to work for a small bit. I'm making a pork shoulder to pull tomorrow so I need to get that baby rubbed down too.

Not to buzzkill but any commercial lot typically soaks the ground in chemicals to keep things pretty, I stay away from anything landscaped. not sure how much the fruiting bodies soak up though

Thanks! It's so fun to find drugs and to know that they're going to keep magically appearing in the same spot every week and then again next year is pretty radical.

I doubt they sprayed this area, but good thing to keep in mind for sure. It was native drought tolerant plants in wood chips and there was no rain for months so no need to spray weed killer. I'm more worried of a hobo or dog peeing on them. I wish there was a way to easily test food and drinks for common chemicals and heavy metals. Maybe like the "23 and Me" DNA tests where you could send in a sample of water and/or mushrooms and they send back results. That's a billion dollar business right there!
