Well, it's a tragedy that it's taken you so long to watch it again.  I agree though...that movie (and #2) get better every time I watch them.

I particularly enjoy all the dialogue/interaction between Culkin, and the Wet Bandits....and the beginning of the first one before the family leaves Kevin alone.

oh, and #2 when he's at the hotel with Rob Schneider & Tim Curry.

I just watched Home Alone for maybe the first time in my adult life and I must say, better than I remember. I particularly liked the guy getting shot in the nuts, his buddy screaming at the tarantula tossed at him, and John Candy leaving his kid at a funeral parlour for 7 weeks. For what it is, easily 8-9/10
