Hello.  This morning I had to go to the DMV to renew my driver’s license, decided to try the new DMV in our city.  It was amazing.  I don’t think many people even know it exists, because despite being gigantic, it was empty.  They called my number before I even sat down.  Magical DMV experience.

And then, since I wasn’t depressed af like the DMV can make you, I decided to go to the nearby Salvation Army and see if there was anything neat there, which brings me to the whole point of this post.  I found this cool looking copy of the Andromeda Strain OST, on a hexagonal 10”, with real sick packaging.  Original 1971 pressing.  For 49 cents there's no way I was leaving it there, despite not recalling the score.  But I’m listening to it now, and it’s real nice.  Apparently, allegedly, this is the first major motion picture to be scored fully electronically.  I checked the sales stats of this version on discogs, and it averages at 46$.  I never sell records, although I do occasionally trade them.  We’ll see where this goes.  Here it is, if anyone is interested:



I also found a really dope viking helmet for my son.  He’s gonna flip when he sees this thing.

My pro-tip for the DMV is showing up an hour before they close.
As long as you are in the door you will be seen in under an hour.

Yeah hi, good to see you too.  Hope you & the fam are all doing nicely.  Thanks for the DMV tip, that’s actually a good idea.  I tend to go in the morning because I want to get it out of the way, but going an hour before close makes sense.

I’ve never used discord before, and chat rooms kinda weird me out, but maybe I’ll try it sometime.

Rock on! Good stuff. I have come to the conclusion that when I have to go to the DMV I just stay calm and go way ahead of time. No stressing at all. Great find at the shop!

Just found out Oregon has a new dumb law where u have to wait 8 days (instead of 7) to get a loan. Stupid! How am i supposed to do dope stuff on Friday now? Frick!

Well, no breakfast for me today. I guess Im gonna get some sleep. Exhausted.

That's nice Burke. When I go to my DMV I show up an hour before they open and there is still a line around the building. These people must be getting there at like 4 or 5:00am. Frickin Crazy. I've been to mine enough to know that there is a sweet spot around 10:00am that gets you in and out really quick.

I'm just sending out some invoices now and then I'm going to go get lunch and take my son for a walk. Got a little work to do tonight and a lot this weekend. Should be nice though.

I'm going to get some Chinese food and then eat it in the park while playing Nintendo. I'm not sure why I got Chinese though. I don't even like Chinese that much. Mostly because the lack of dairy and variety in their food. I like to have cheese with most of my meals I guess. I got combo chow mein and combo fried rice.
