Advise on first monotub grow

Hey guys, this is my friends first attempt at growing the wonderful species of cubensis. He's never been around other grows and isnt real sure on how to judge how things are going. If any more experienced growers on the forum would take a look at a few pics to see if things are on track or not, that would be greatly appreciated. I can answer any questions for him, thanks.

Some background...
The grow started on 07/03 when 6x 1 lb. bags of rye berries were inoculated with a culture syringe of p. cubensis. The bags colonized pretty rapidly at first then slowed after about 75% complete.
on 07/27 2x of the spawn bags were opened and layered into the tub with 5 lbs of bulk substrate (from shroom supply). They were allowed ambient light at this time from a window.
They colonized the substrate even faster, 4 days after they were put into the tub i added about 1/8 in - 1/4 in layer of casing.
On 08/05 the mycelium was coming thru the casing very even and consistently so i went ahead and began misting and fanning and they were placed directly into a sunny window.
The pics u see were taken on 08/08, lots of hairs or fingers coming thru but haven't noticed any pinning starting yet.

Its seems to be a little more "ropey" and fuzzy then some other examples ive seen online but its really hard to compare as a newb.
Does anyone know why or what the ropeyness is, good or bad?
Any comments will be hopeful, thanks again

Giving advice thru a 3rd party never works. Something always gets lost in translation. Best advice I can give is tell your friend to make an account. :grin:

Someone I met said your friend should join us here! Mycotopia is where all of our friends and people we met go to talk about our grows.

This forum is just for cultivators, not their friends...lol, just fucking with ya!

Looks like you fucked up and incriminated yourself anyway, what are you doing fanning and misting your friends shrooms for?

Looks like they might need more fresh air, but could be running from contamination or bad conditions(too wet)

Post some more pics man, we'll take a peek!
