Habitat: forest, found growing on fallen Douglas fir tree next to a small creek

Gills: white pores, bruising somewhat darker color when handled/poked

Stem: nonexistent

Cap: dark reddish/brown with white outer edge, these smaller ones are about 3-4 inches across

Spore print color: unfortunately didn't print very well so didn't drop any spores (to young perhaps?)

Bruising: pores bruised a darker color when handled (slightly yellowish bruising if I had to specify a color)

Location: PNW

Smell: strong earthy/mushroom smell

Find #2


Habitat: forest, found growing on fallen Douglas fir tree next to a small creek (same tree as find #1)

Gills: white pores, no noticeable bruising

Stem: nonexistent

Cap: dark black center to yellow with white outer edge, about 5 inches or so across

Spore print color: unfortunately didn't print very well so didn't drop any spores (to young perhaps?)

Bruising: no noticeable bruising

Location: PNW

Smell: strong earthy/mushroom smell

Habitat: forest, found growing on fallen Douglas fir tree next to a small creek

Gills: no gills or pores but long hairy tentacles it looks like

Stem: nonexistent

Cap: light reddish/brown these smaller ones are about 2-5 inches across

Spore print color: honestly didnt even harvest these ones they just look cool

Bruising: no noticeable bruising

Location: PNW

Smell: no noticeable smell

Not really needing an ID as I have no clue but id guess they're ink caps or shaggy mane mabye but more just thought they looked cool

Found growing inside a nook in a live evergreen tree, nook had a bottom floor of dirt and pine needles, almost looks suspiciously planted there
