Had a seizure again today.

The frequency and intensity of them has been increasing. The one today was partially cognitive and about 4 minutes long, and I just feel all fucked up now. Really weird shit. This has been happening to me for years but the frequency lately is scary (maybe a dozen in the last month with daily auras)....

Have you tried taking CBD orally?  A 100mg dose 2-3x daily would be ideal.

That must be scary. So, even with a history of TBI... the seizures are pretty much idiopathic/random? Could you possibly have triggers, like stress?

I have identified several triggers. It is really most types of stimulation and stress. Too many conversations in a room, too many flashing lights, non rhythmic patterns of noises. Everything gets way worse when I'm between wake/sleep and also when the sun is going down. My wife has seen me have several in my sleep.

Today I found out from my mother that my aunt and cousin both have catalepsy as well as her grandfather being epileptic, and that I used to have black outs when stressful or loud things would happen around me.

Yes and I also have issues with dropping things and feel incredibly fatigued especially before it happens, and then after its like a mismatched bunch of signals at once in all of my nerves. All the sensations and all the emotions all jumbled up and confused and firing over and over.

Are you on any antiepileptic medications? You either need to be on antiepileptics or need your antiepileptics intensified. You need to be evaluated by a neurologist in any case, they may be able to identify a seizure focus that can be ablated surgically obviating the need for medications.

Having uncontrolled epilepsy with continued seizures is not good because it causes brain damage over time. You need to get it under control. There are side effects to being on antiepileptics but the side effects from uncontrolled epilepsy are even worse like you will become mentally retarded.

Need is a strong word and there is not a chance in this universe that I'd get any kind of surgery. Thanks for the 2 cents though.

Nichrome....Do you trip/take psychedelics?

If so, does it have any sort of impact on the frequency and/or intensity of your seizures?





There's another shroomery member that has epilepsy because of brain damage, and they say that taking LSD lessens their seizures for them and it definitely seems to act as an antiepileptic drug ...they said they went from having as much as 200 seizures in a day, to not having any seizures for a whole week after taking a dose of LSD.

And does CBD help you at all?....Do you only take isolated CBD by itself, or do you work with whole cannabis flower/oil that also has THC in it? I know cannabis is far more effective at helping with seizures when the full spectrum is taken versus only taking isolated CBD.

2 years ago my father had a stroke and now he experiences seizures from time to time....I'd like him to start working with high CBD extracts.

Maybe they meant a per week :shrug: .

You can ask Lophophora, that's who I quoted, I see em' on the forums pretty regularly.


I know some folks do have a tremendous amount of seizures in a 24 hour period though.

Whatever the # may be, it seems LSD is offering Loph some relief.

What do you know about seizures? I'm pretty sure thereally are seizures that can last even 1 second.

I read that the extremely common knee jerk or sudden jerk from your sleep / while falling a sleep is actually a real seizure.
