ID request - First picks (NSW)

Habitat:
Pine forest, growing out of wood debris/deer poop.

Gills:
When fresh the colour ranges from a creamy grey/brown, dark brown when dry - I have included a photo here: https://m.imgur.com/a/0rwbaMK

Stem:
Long and thin, colour is white/grey near cap and darkens towards the bottom. Looked and felt hollow; veil was not evident.

Cap:
Diameter is more or less the size of a $2 coin and light brown/brown in colour. Convex with a smooth/sticky texture.

Spore print color:
Dark purple; almost black.

Bruising:
Slight bluing around rim of cap and stem, but pinching the stem made it bruise very dark, almost black. Damaging the cap caused almost no bluing. Overall the bluing is fairly limited.

Other information:
Smell like typical shrooms. Everything seems okay to me aside from the bluing, which is really throwing me off. I originally thought they were P. Subaeruginosa but perhaps they are pan cyans?

Could these just be inactive subs and are they safe to eat regardless of potency?

they might be psilocybe alutacea, were they actually growing on the dung or wood chips? Definitely active, probably Psilocybe Subaeruginosa

Around wood debris, under bushes and out of poop - I could see the mycelium spread through the droppings/the mushroom sprouting out of it.

Does it matter that the bruising is so dark on the stem and almost nonexistent on the cap, aside from blue hue around the rim?

Not at all, I pick subs all the time that never bruise on the caps but have severe bruising on the stems, just depends on the mushroom and the environment. Were the stems a darker 'browner' colour than a creamy white? the caps look so much like Psilocybe Alutacea and you mentioned they were growing out of poo. They are definitely an active species, just need a more experienced members opinion.

The stem was greyish white towards the cap and a darker brown at the base; some browned closer to the cap than others. Based on an image search they look very, very similar to P. Alutacea. I didn't realise that they grow in NSW.

Can you give me some information about potency/ease of cultivation/dosage? There doesn't seem to be much information available on the internet

I'd say they are subaeruginosa. Alutacea dont bruise very much.

Does P. Subaeruginosa grow in animal poop? I was also under the impression that they bruise more distinctly on the cap

Not typically, but they can on occasion. Heres a photo from 2005 that i got of some colonizing and fruiting off roo dung.

Next time,  please include clear close up shots of the cap, gills and stem,  if you can't see them clearly in pictures, we can't either.  Small Details are very important, that's why I stress clarity in the pictures.

Out of curiosity, would you mind stating what the tell tale identification signs are?

I went by the color, shape and size of the cap, spore print color, bluish bruising on the stipe and its color & size. Substrate also was helpful.  Include in situ photo and they are very helpful some times.

Psilocybe alutacea is small and delicate compared with Psilocybe subaeruginosa

Interesting! Does stem thickness/colour possess much significance? I've seen photos of P. Subaeruginosa with thick white stems and thin brownish ones like mine. Really adds to the confusion

Mainly around them, there were two growing right out of deer poop - I have the specimen with me but don't have photos at the moment.

The area where all of these were found was littered with animal droppings (some like the ones you have described) and extremely lush/green. Other explored areas that had mainly Pine debris were littered with galerinas, and no actives (as far as I could tell) were growing there.
