psilocybe subaeruginosa outdoor backyard cultivation plan (New Zealand)
    #26031482 -

Hi Shroomys,

Wanting to get a start on a small backyard sub patch without going to complex on cultivation techniques
Was inspired by @lord of the gnomes and his post https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/21660149

My plan is as follows

1. Head to the garden centre this week for a few bags of pine mulch, hopefully older mulch if I can find it
2. Mix it in with 1-5% of mulch with myc taken from an active spot of subs found at a local park
3. Spreading it 5cm thick under a shady, damp area with ferns. Galerina patches growing around the same area, directly on rotted leaves and standard soil.
4. Leave until next season 2020

Also the options of
1. Transplanting 5 or so pins, or even 3 or so fruiting bodies, from the active patch. Into the fresh pine much for my backyard cultivation.
2. Spraying the patch with spore water over the next week (fresh spore prints on A4 soaked in a bottle of water)

Anything else you’d do (or avoid) to increase chances of success for a patch next year?

Big thanks for any feedback or comments
