Growing outdoors is usually done with a different species, that is, not Psilocybe Cubensis. Here is some good Azure guides:

I wonder why that is since cubensis can grow out side just as well in a climate that has a modest amount of humidity. I really havent seen a front to back outdoor growing guide for idiots such as the PF Tek or the MMGG which is what 80-90 percent of these forums are based on. It would be awesome if someone would do a front to back especially with the variances...ie, would someone who llives in florida need the same mini greenhouse as someone who lives out west. Just an idea for some of the more advanced guys.

I don't know much, but have been ready to start outdoors for a while. Still feel like I need to read/research a bit more. I'm in Florida, so we have hella humidity - no problem. Shady areas, in tall grass, behind bushes, etc.... I'm leaning towards digging tiny graves behind my azaleas, laying out moist perlite, maybe some casing material (maybe not), setting my fully colonized spawned straw cake in there, and casing the top as usual. Mist as needed and watch 'em grow. if that fails, I might try the same method, but vary the substrate - adding poo or worm castings. Just waiting for bf to dig my teeny graves now.
-------------------- I don't really know anyone who grows mushrooms. I just come here for fun.

Outdoor Cubie Tekl
Dig a trench 6 inches deep. Put a piece of plastic on bottom but not on the sided to allow drainage. Fill with semi-colonized cowdung and straw. Cover With Dark blue tarp to let it completely colonize. When ready get a clear platic tub to put over it. Cut 1" holes around the bottom of the tub to allow air exchange. Put a 2 hoses running through multiple tubs with tiny holes in them spraying in the corners of the tubs. Get y adapter to attach to one faucet. You figure the rest out.
