Indeed they are Psilocybe Subaeruginosa. Welcome to the Shroomery :hatsoff:

Just wait for a Trusted Identifier to confirm, as is customary, but they all look good to me.

Great Id request too

🙏 Thank you!, 2nd season here, and first wood loving finds in Nz. I thought the smaller ones in the grouped photo could possibly have been p. cyanescens? .

Well then, congrats on your first sub find :congrats:

You mean you thought they were Psilocybe Cyanescens? As far as I have read on here, the most recent DNA analysis of Ps. Subaeruginosa and Ps. Cyanescens shows they are very closely related, some ppl are even suggesting they are the same species.

Do a bit of research on phenotype variance, this is a way of explaining how mushrooms of the very same type can have very different looks, usually due to environmental factors or genetic refinement or "inbreeding" of certain characteristics

Psilocybe subaeruginosa is correct, start with a low dose,  to much can ruin it for a 1st time.

Ok thanks will do.
Here is an image of the spore print for the second batch found for reference,
Lighter colour but still the same species? Will do some reading on phenotype variance.  (Spore print from single Mushrroom images) and also next to first batch find print
