Southern Tasmania ID Request
    #25980237 -







Habitat:
Found in bark and thick decaying leaves under trees on Mount Wellington near Hobart, Tasmania.

Gills:
Golden brown gills, light in colour, slightly darker on one mushroom (far right in photos)

Stem:
Thin hollow stem

Cap:
Golden brown cap with pronounced cone in centre

Spore print color:
Dark spore print with a tinge of purple. Very subtle - see image.

Bruising:
Appeared fresh and undamaged when picked but slight dark bruising on stems.

Other information:
The sample on the far right appears to be the same species but with cracked cap (older?). Would welcome thoughts.

They don't look active & could possibly be; galerina marginata.
have they dropped dark purple spores / since bruised blue?

Good time for you to do a spore print, cut the stem off as close to the gills as possible and then place the cap gills down on a piece of white paper, leave for a minimum of 66-8hrs

Rusy brown spore print: Galerina

Purple to purple brown spore prints: Psilocybe subaeruginosa
