I have to admit that before I moved to Norway I was quite clueless about Scandanavia. I knew that it was Norway, Sweden, and DK, and that they had some sort of welfare state, but that was it. And yep, I've noticed that Scandanavians really think that they know whats what when it comes to the world... the idea that "hey our countries work, why can't yours?" seems a prevalant one in the societies subconscious... but its OK, cause the fjord is beautiful!

I often hear on the radio, things like, "Norway is helping this and that country... Norway is being so active in those demonstrations and really making an effort to make the world in this and that place doing this and that for people who need it"

Do people even know this? According to the news here there should be a norwegian on every corner on every street in the world doing something to help. Yesterday Norwegian woman, appearantly, were helping out american feminists with support in some way or another... i dunno. And also, according to how the news here makes it sound like, Norwegians are the most important nation in the situation between Iraq and USA, they are down there, doing something, but I dont think they are making such a differance and I dont think people recognize this... norway is pathetic. Nice country, but pathetic none the less.

Sweden is more cool with their recognition globally, they got their reputation for blonde big breasted woman and thats it and thats fine, funny thing is SWEDEN is globally known for this! Everybody's heard of sweden, LOL! cracks me up. But thats the way it should be, nice old karma ya know.

wow that's true... since i've started snusing I never really get nausea from drinking too much or shrooming some particularly nasty tasting boomers... but portion snus isn't just for woman, it's also for guys who don't like to have a big amount of blackish shit all over their teeth and gums :grin:

Agreed. There's just miles upon miles of islands, thousands of them. I love spending time there in the summer.
