Absolutely, we can't have Hispanics or blacks be nationalistic. They must try and tear down the existing system, not strengthen it.

I agree with that assessment 100%. The problems of the prison-industrial-complex are multifaceted, but without doubt the war on drugs is one of the most significant exasperating factors.

Why would you want to debate whether Candace Owens is racist or not? Seems like a waste of time. Just call her an Auntie Ruckus if you feel that's what you're compelled to do, and continue on in your bliss.

I think you're missing the point.  Instead of the usual back and forth "nuh uh" which never leads anywhere, they'll make their arguments and a judge (or multiple judges if they choose) will decide who has the better argument.

If you disagree with him on this issue, maybe you can take him on instad of XUL?  :smirk:

I think dismantling the welfare state is a bad idea. I think improving their lives starts with getting people on welfare off welfare. Good question. I think they should be motivated to get off welfare and out of government housing. It's not an either or issue to me. Their chances are already low and throwing them onto the streets at this point is worse. Simply giving them housing and a means of survival isn't a solution and many of the ideas that could be used to solve it are put down as "racist." They'd have a better shot at avoiding it if they had better role models, stronger families, and these are thought of as racist ideas... hell even religion can be helpful. And no it's not just poor black people or poor hispanics because poor white people have many of the same problems.

I'm not here to really debate with anyone just converse. Too often people take one side and focus on how they are different when they should be looking at how they are the same.

I think the best option would be to designate a thread to our private debate. The reason being that I often am debating 4 people at once and lose track.

It would be in a public thread, but only you and I (plus the judge) would have posting rights. Enlil has offered to do this for threads upon request, and afterwards we could open it up for public discussion of the results.

Have I called you a nazi before? Still, I am willing to make a concession (should Enlil agree) that the forum rule against ad hominem attacks be dropped for this debate. I think such tactics would do more harm to your argument than good though, so I wouldn't suggest them.



I'm also willing to consider a panel of three judges, instead of just one, if you would prefer.

Oh man, I just found this YT channel for something called the Oxford Union. All these British twerps debate issues and shit, and most of them don't have a clue. These are the youth who will lead a nation one day? God help them all.

That was a quick reversal (as Shivas already pointed out).

The reason a judge is necessary is in case one side keeps saying "nuh uh - I reject your facts and offer my make believe".  That type of argument goes nowhere, and a neutral judge is needed to step in and settle it.
