More facial hair is a sign of more testosterone, so I would imagine people with beards would have bigger balls.

My balls are perfect. They are the only balls I touch.  I think they are average size balls, but I have no idea.  I’ve never measured them and have no idea what they look like from any perspective other than looking down on them or when I glance them in a mirror.  No one I have been with has ever said, “oh fuck your balls are huge!”  Nor has anyone said the opposite or laughed at them when revealed in all their glory in bed. I have never grown a beard, but I had to buy a razor for my facial hair when I was 13.  Maybe the size of your balls has to do with the type of razor you use.  I use the Gillette Mach III.

The study mostly is making comparisons across different species, not so much within species (where the trend can be the opposite).

Basically, in species where females aren't as picky about looks, males must compete through sperm volume.
