In art classes we've always had to draw nekid males, never females, I wonder why that is.....

Probably because the classes would be flooded with non-art-majors if college guys heard there were naked women to stare at.

I'll be modest, I'll only show my top front.

excellent physique. i was really into bodybuilding for about 6-10 months, but i got addicted to world of warcraft and lost almost all of the gains i made. i gained about 30 pounds, lost 10-15 of it since i quit.
however, i quit world of warcraf too, gotta get back to the gym and the kitchen!
anyways, here's a before/after photo http://ssnakess.com/photopost/data/513/3370clarke-florida.JPG

Funny that this beautiful male form is a hairless, ripped form that most males will never have a hope of having. Do we live for our bodies or some idea of how they MUST be?

Personally, my concept of a beautiful body is one that is more geared towards functionality than asthetics. Not a fan of the gym physiqe....personally, i'd rather let my body develop along the lines of use. I.E. running, swimming, walking, biking, sports.....with a bit of strength training targeted at overall enhancement of those activities.
The "model" ideal is not one i aspire to.

Interesting.. I've played different sports over the years, lifted weights and experimented with martial arts. I've found hiking and yoga to be the best for my body (not just the appearance, but also the feel...and the impact on the functioning of it in general). ..my body, a physical thing which I am, not an idea I strive for.

My entire mindstate comes from a MANIACLLY active life....played soccer and baseball for 4 years growing up, got my lifeguards cert when i was 16? (since lapsed) ran track in highschool, state competitor in the 110's....Cross country.... Hiking is great shit.
So that's probably the source of the thought. That and the singular fact that i didn't understand the concept of combing my hair till the 8th grade.

The same goes for the ideal female form. Pornography and fashion photography alike feature bodies which represent .01% of the females in the world. After they select the "most perfect" females, they digitally enhance the photos to improve skin texture, blot out minor blemishes, tidy-up hairdos, etc...
At least muscles are something you can get with hard work at the gym. Perfect, gravity-defying double DD breasts can only be obtained through expensive surgery.

I think the female body looks much better than the male.....

But is that a purely aesthetic judgment, or related to your sexual orientation and cultural programming?

true, but there are just as many females who hold the same ideals as men do when it comes to choosing people to fuck. So, in reality, we have just as much pressure if not more on us when we go out as you do when you go out.
its a double edged sword. While the male physique can be a wonderful thing, there's just something about the female form that holds more beauty. I guess i see men like the ones pictured like rock, while the women, more soft? Plus, im a guy, i know what guys are like and the thoughts that go on in our heads, and believe me they aint pretty

Instead of focusing on the ideal male form, let's all praise the realistic male form:

Beautiful. Breathtaking. Awe-inspiring.

I am much more hairless and dainty looking than that. That, my dear, is what the gay community calls a "bear". Not that I have any knowledge about that kind of stuff.
