Dunk it once you've harvested everything. Take them as their ready, the one with the broken veil is ready. Blue bruising is normal and can appear very dark. Also, use the edit post button instead of octuple-posting

Okay. Apart from immature fruits there are also a bunch of tiny clear white bumps here and there wanting to pin, should i also wait for them or what?
Can you please explain to me what Octuple-posting is ? Thanks!

Those are primordia, they are fine to dunk. Octuple-posting is posting not just twice in a row, but 8 times, with no posts from other people in-between (if there were 24 hrs between posts it would be fine). The main issue is that it bumps your thread, which isn't fair to other people's threads.

There's an edit button on each of your posts. Every time you hit the quote button, it adds it to the quick reply at the bottom, so you can quote multiple people at once. You can also open another tab and quote from other pages, etc., and just copy the output into one reply.

Well, I thought it was cool OP. You never tried to claim it was an award winning yield, idk who makes up these standards and tries to hold strangers to them

edit: Man after re-reading this whole thread some of you really need to rethink your attitudes. Poor OP's just asking you questions and trying to learn and you're just dumping buckets of shit on him. Fucking congratulations for dumping on a mold cake. Did you SEE those original pics? This is an awesome thread, nut in yer eye

My main sticking point with this was calling it success. Like I said before, it's salvage at best and getting 0 fruits is kinda hard to do. I've had to top fruit bad jars as well to get a print and continue a variety; but I'd never call it success, more like mitigated losses.

Someone else pointed out, if these kinda posts go unchallenged, then in a few months some newb will dig it up and think "oh myc CAN beat out the mold" and hold on to a horrible jar.

Despite sounding like I'm "dumping shit" I would sincerely like to see the op actually grow, and I'm sure they could do it well if they really tried.

Sounds like an imaginary argument. Did the OP even use the word success or try to debate this with you? Probably not, even if he did nobodies interested in what you define success as except you.

People always say they're trying to save the noobs by bashing this kind of stuff but its a secondary motivation at best most of the time. More like justifying poor behavior.

You'll notice nobody once asked the OP what his procedure was, or even determined whether he had poor sterile technique or not. Or answered the questions he asked about growing, all just shit dumping from what I saw, if there was any education taking place it was well hidden between heaps of shit. Everybody gets contam jars. This whole thing is a larf.

Hey, you understand exactly what i mean. from what i understand, you read my post and the fuzz and arguments following and you understood it for what it was. You are a rare gem. I read all your comment and i am really appreciating it. Here are some new pictures i took a couple of minutes ago. Still going strong. contam is still not pulling through.

Love that we're on the same page, makes me feel sane. "Hey guys isn't it cool that the myc permeated the mold?" *autistic screeching*

Was waiting on those pictures of perfectly healthy looking cubes. That makes this all the sadder/funnier, I'm not sure which anymore.

I take it all back. Cubes eat mold. Grow yourself big mold colonies and feed them to your cubes. Good practice is elitist ego at play. For that matter people should start doing open air G2G cause cubes win against mold. Mold is good for your grow.

Because thats totally what we're suggesting. "If you love mold so much then just grow that instead, filthy mold lovers."

If you appreciate that myc can sometimes eat mold you might as well do G2G in open air. Because logic

This mold phobia is so engrained that you don't seem to be able to think clearly

I’m not afraid of mold. I just pitch it in the trash when I see it and it does me no harm.

Back to the semantics thread

One of my favorites is when people say "the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result." See that in the dictionary did you? You may want to check again

Yawn. People who are satisfied with sloppy work and moldy substrates will never listen. Pushing people to improve their work and do better is what I like to do. I notice that I never see pics of any worth from those champions of moldy substrates. Show me a good canopy with a high level of BE and I might take notice. But for me fruiting space is too limited and my time too precious to dick around with uncontrolled and ultimately worthless “experiments.” At the end of the day it’s not the champions of mediocrity that I’m looking to convince. It’s the new people and the lurkers whom I’m looking to instil a sense of pride and good work ethic in. Those who are satisfied with shit and corner cutting obviously are happy with being mediocre. I couldn’t give a fuck about them, it’s their grow and their time.
