ergot or a black mold

i have a bag that is completly dark black
is this ergot if so yepy a frend asked me to get this for him or there is any thing comon thats black mold
is there a quick way to get it to fruit just to be shure its ergot

Ergot grows mainly on wheat, or barley, or some other grain. Many molds are in fact black, and the chances that you have ergot growing on substrate unintentionally are very slim.

i meen thats barly presur cooked and the substrate was to moist

That is irrelevant. Ergot is not a common house mold, and unless you live on a farm covered in ergot, the chances of ergot consuming a jar of substrate are very minimal.
