During my most recent growth of p. cubensis via the mmgg tek i encountered 2 contaminated jars, and rather than discard them, i decided to get some use out of them. I scanned a close up of each contaminant, in the hope that the pictures may be used to help educate inexperienced growers.

Notice how with the green mold, the mycelium keeps its distance from it, forming rounded clumps at the edges, however with the black mold, the mycelium has formed rhizmorphs which have intertwined with the contaminant, regardless.

As I'm in my last week of work, I'm getting back 2 school after summerholiday to end my education (last year). So next week I will start on writing the contamination faq, as I have little photo's yet I can use the help for contam-photo's.
Ah hell, I will start a post on this,

This is an update of the black mold picture above, it seems the mycelium is fighting with it, and winning...
and i couldn't awake from the nightmare that sucked me in and pulled me under
