I never said climate change wasn't real.

I said it was the leftist religion to control people and convince them to give power to the government in order to "save" the world from climate change.

And whenever someone mentions solving climate issues through the 50 states, the response is that, if non-compliant states don't take part in the green new deal and hand over power to the government, then there won't be any hope. Conversely, when the issue of non-compliant countries are brought up, leftists don't have a problem leaving non-compliant countries untouched. Why? Because it's not about "saving the world," but rather controlling America through government power.

And you take it hook, line, and sinker.

If climate change is real, than responding to it is a rational response. Your analogy to the blind belief of religion doesn't really hold up.

Besides, I don't think you are truly concerned with irrational beliefs being used to control people and convince them to give power to the government in order to "save" the world, because you support your government enacting national emergency legislation (by definition, an increase in government power) in order to save you from your own xenophobia.

Yes, response is natural.

That's why I think the states should handle it. They are quicker to move as compared to Congress.

What is so wrong with that?

Also, to address this weird argument you picked up from some American conservatism echo-chamber:

The New Green Deal obviously focuses on the 50 states because it is a proposal by the federal government of the USA, and as such only has authority over the territory of the USA. I guess leftists respect national sovereignty and the democratic process of other nations.

On the other hand, there have been numerous international discussions held as well. You can criticize how effective these agreements have been, but your claim that the only discussion is about getting the 50 states compliant is obviously false.

And people do talk about non-compliant countries. The USA is non-compliant, and leftists around the world are well aware that this will have to change.

Before I answer this question, I would like some clarification.

If the states can move quicker compared to Congress, why do you support your federal government enacting national emergency legislation to combat immigration instead of letting the states handle it?

The green new deal is supposed to save the world from destruction. The hypocrisy is that all states must be included, but not all countries.

I believe some states have built wall sections.

Air pollution alone kills at least 150,000 Americans every year. Even if 100% of the ~20,000 homicides that happen in the USA each year were committed by illegal immigrants, air pollution still massively outnumbers this; and illegal immigrants only commit a fraction of those homicides.

So either, by your own argument, you should also support the federal government using national emergency legislation to force the new green deal on non-compliant states; because innocent American lives are at risk - or you follow a contradictory and irrational ideology being used to control people and convince them to give power to the government in order to "save" the world.

There is definitely no causal evidence that general air pollution kills anyone.

Prove causation.

Conversely, I can prove that illegal immigrants have killed Americans and threatened Americans.

Climate change is going to cause massive migration. Climate refugees fleeing low lying lands no longer habitable due to sea water inundation. Millions of people in India and Pakistan and other coastal communities will have to move. Parts of central and South America. Africa. Sea level rise has already forced an entire country to abandon its territory.

The bayous of east Texas and southern Louisiana will have to be abandoned.

XUL doesn’t think 50 million Bangladeshi refugees streaming to the west is a serious problem.

Yes I am.

I stated why the green new deal is a scam.

I also stated why I support the national emergency.

Meanwhile Shiva is telling me that the green new deal doesn't involve climate change, but that people are dying from air pollution.

If the green new deal is not about climate change, then why the hell am I worried about air pollution that can travel from China?
