OP I think sometimes people forget that there's real people on the other end of the thread and say things they'd never say in real life. Or we're caught up in our own life and emotions and forget others are maybe going through a hard time too and probably don't need or want our assholery.

All the things that negatively impact the internets everywhere.

We also really lost a lot of great people in the last 4 years and for a while it seemed there were coming thick and fast too. I still miss those people a great deal

As far as politics is concerned i dont think that has anything to do with the quality of the pub to be honest people can have their own views but it seemed like at one point some of the senior dudes when i was still a first time noob like seven said sheeks, and even good ole RR would drop in amd always seemed to spice shit up
It was more of a family sharing cool as articles,funny shit,and even science videos every once and awhile not its become a bunch of shit posting

I think that's the bulk of it.

this place has like 10x as many subforums as any other board I've been on. IMO that really stifles conversation, most people dont keep up with more than a few subs so a ton just gets lost.

forums are a dated medium now too, although I still prefer them over everything else

I hardly ever look at most of the subforums.  OTD, the pub, psychedelic experience, and rarely but occasionally the other drugs discussion and the hunting/ID forum. that's about it.

I could be better here, more open, less angry but I’ve been coming here to vent most times because I’m in a a bad time right now in my life,that’s not the shroomerys fault. I’ll try and be better for y’all serious shit for our fam that still are and the ones that would’ve wanted us to still be a beacon of misguided insane psychotherapists that love their shroomy family through the bad and good times, here for each other to the bitter end or amazing positivity in our lives.

  I’m not sure these threads should be why did this die out but how can we truly make it a better atmosphere around here or do we like it as is. Like qman said some shroomites on both sides of the American political isle were SO OFFENDED that it became a list pages long of ignore/ignored. You have a different opinion booo! Im the best.

I’d rather not talk politics at all ever again because here is the one fuckin escape from pressure for a long time for me and many other shroomites.

A bunch of people passed away

Some others are in prison

A couple more got sober and left the site

And some more just quit coming around

I'm part of the last category. I don't find myself having the same lively convos like I use too and the majority of people I've befriended over the near decade on this website I have contact with offsite so unless I'm purposefully looking for new people to get feedback from, I have a plethora of friends I met on here to ask.

Me too. I check the pub first and depending on my mood I look at ODD, Mush hunting, and Ethno Garden. I rarely look in or post in the other categories. They have interesting topics, but it is too much work to check 30 sub-forums to find interesting discussion and they are low traffic anyways.

Asante or Ythan will you please condense some of the sub-forums. For example you could close "sex and relationships", "mental health" and "politics" and move them to the pub. Delete any sub-sub-forums like "ladies lounge" and "grow logs" and definitely delete the user created sub-forums. Why can't the ladies talk about pub stuff in the regular pub? It makes no sense to segregate everybody.

NO MORE FORUM SEGREGATION

i miss the golden days, nate.  i guess I'm a bit of the sober and not around.

I've been trying to come around more often. time really complicates freedom to do what you want. i seriously doubt this place is ever going to be anything but a little bit of a home for the stragglers and bullshitters at this point. we are all growing up.

old habits die hard.  this is always where I can be found, if no where else. i want to travel so bad. right when I got to be out starting to make my own way,  I got tied down to more responsibility. life's a bitch.

because the real shroomery is off-site. it's festi, camping, raves, traveling, meetings, hugs, and adventure with the people who have been here with you talking.

I've known it for a long time. wanderlust is beautiful...

Multiple factors.

One is some members were permabanned. Another is some members and mods died from sad causes :sad: Then mods stopped posting as much or left the Shroomery. All this happened within the last 2 years. We are the lone survivors. Life will go on.....
