Re: Have you ever wondered? [Re: MadHatter333]

Even if it were a violent death I’d be okay with it. Did Jesus die peacefully? No! He was a martyr.

I don’t want to die right now, but if I did it would be my time to go.

Why fight the inevitable? You’d only be creating more suffering for yourself.

So why create more circumstances where you might die? Why ever leave your tent at all? If you just sleep and live and hunt deer and filter spring water and mushrooms, you'll never have to interact with humans aggain.

RIGHT?

I wish. Not dealing with humans would be like a dream come true to me.

Humans are a part of life though. We learn from one another.

I’m just trying to say.. fuck death! I’ll be returning somewhere else when I pass anyway.

It’s best to make due with what we have in the moment.

Rather than fretting about what could happen the next minute.

Oh yeah!> ?

WHere>?

I too myself think then when I die my body will return to some giant microcosm of the earth, with all it's poisons intact.

But my Soul...

SOuls.

Souls.... this is a dangerous territory.

Interesting concept.

I feel when we pass we enter what may be considered as a waiting room. This is where our soul analysis everything that happened in our lifetime on earth. We practice things in this space, and chart our next lifetime with our spirit guides.

Maybe we become a spirit guide for some other souls lifetime. Our we embark on a new path in a completely new world.

I don’t believe everything just goes black and you’re done for. That shit just depresses me.. how could we explain the DMT experience, or Near death experience? There’s more to death than just total blackness.

I randomly met one of our trusted identifiers from the hunting/ID board in the middle of the woods.

We had recently moved to rural upstate NY. I found a very unique and diverse forest to hike in and look for mushrooms.
From the first snow melt in may until mid july, I went hunting at least two and sometimes as often as six days a week. Never saw another person there.

One day I was crouched in the bushes, picking a huge patch of Lactarius hygrophoroides.
Someone yells from way down the trail "I thought there was someone here looking at my mushrooms"

We start talking mushrooms. He brings up the shroomery. Turns out he's BobZimmer. The only person I encounter in the woods in months and he's a trusted identifier here on the shroomery.
We went hiking together a bunch after that.
I learned more on those hikes than I did in years of reading about mushrooms.

Did you guys kiss?

Nah,
For a pot smoking, psychedelic mushroom hunting shroomerite, dude was a surprisingly right wing homophobe.
We still got along well, but kept conversation mostly about mushrooms.

Paradoxical isnt it?

Personalities are super strong, they can even overcome the effects of paychs. Pretty crazy.

You have to consider that all psychedelics work by adjusting your brain chemistry. Without that physical brain there isn't really a place for the "experience" to happen. Anything explaining how that experience can occur without a brain is skating on thin ice. There are beliefs and arguments - from a spiritual or philosophical viewpoint - that attempt to explain it but, on this side of the curtain anyway, all that is just smoke.

I prefer to go the physics route and follow the energy. I choose not to believe that consciousness is an emergent phenomenon but a form of energy. So, it can be neither created or destroyed, only changed. The dark side of that way of thinking is that there might not be much energy there.

We'll all find out soon enough.

How can you be in two places at once, when you're not anywhere at all?

Sure will. Life is short compared to eternity.

All we have is speculation on what happens after death. We’ll know when we’re dead. Best to live a full happy life before then. I want to know I’ve done all I could here before I go.

This thread has gone way off topic lol, but I like it. Thank you everyone for sharing your experience!
