Have you ever wondered? * 1
    #25817913 -

If you’ve unknowingly met people in real life that have ties to the Shroomery? I could have sworn last night I seen people at the event that could have been Shroomery members. I could hear them saying “that’s the guy, I think that’s him”. And the vibes felt like I was found out, but I couldn’t help but smile.

I’ve met one out in the field, but never actually met one I’ve talked to beforehand on the site. I think it would be pretty neat! Probably was the drugs talking...

...but I’m 100% positive there was at least a good amount of members there. You gotta think.. a lot of trippers, and mushroom enthusiasts, like a nice electronic event.

I have met people in real life who had ties to the shroomery, but none of them were like big posters on the forum or anything. Just people I knew that were into psychedelics and had been to this site to find info about growing mushrooms.

I’ll think about the convos on here, or something funny, and just chuckle to myself. My gf says I have a problem  but she understands/accepts me.

I know of a couple people that grow shrooms but don't know that I know they grow. So almost certainly they come on here. Part of me wants to extend the olive branch and part of me is like...

I have really conflicting emotions about this so I haven't made my presence known to them yet.

They’re probably all shroom talk people lol. My best friend told me to come here for myco info. I’m glad she did, because it started me on a whole new path. Not just growing mushrooms, but being a part of a community. Even if everyone isn’t always so sweet, I enjoy the punks too sometimes.

It is interesting how you could walk past a dozen shroomery members at the grocery store and never know it. People have to be so tight lipped about it and everything.

That’s true. I tell people about Shroomery sometimes. Some know I do myco work and want to try it out. Idk if they ever follow through with it, but it’s nice for them to have the option.

It would be funny if you were gathering myco stuff at the store and someone was doing the same thing right next to you. Tubs, jars, tinfoil, etc... I’ll be walking through sometimes and see random potential myco supplies ordinary people would just see as basic household items.

Kinda sorta....

There's been a few people I've met randomly, then I find out they're a shroomery member.

In places/ways that's not too surprising to cross paths with another shroomery member, but in ways that was still kinda a funny coincidence.

One dude.....My friend met this one guy at a small underground party in the Santa Cruz area a few years ago. That dude came to a festival with my friend a few months after that. We all met up at the festival...After chatting with the guy for like 15 minutes the topic of 4-aco-dmt came up, then the conversation made its way into the topic of the shroomery and I found out he was not only a shroomery member but we also had posted in the same threads and talked to each other a few times on here

That dude is now a good friend of mine, I've shared some wonderful trips & times with him, and he's in a relationship with my sisters best friend lol.

Another dude......I was on the backstage work crew for a small-ish festival in nor-cal. When I recieved the e-mail from our crew leader, there was a list of e-mail adresses of everyone that was on the crew....While glancing over that list of e-mail adresses I spotted an adress that had a name in it that was very similar to a user name I've seen here on the shroomery...So I e-mailed that person directly, I basically said something along the lines of "I know this really random, but your email adress is similar to a user name I know of on a certain mushroom forum....Are you on the shroomery?"

And yea it was actually him lol.....and it was a person who I had PM'd a few times on here......So kinda another funny coincidence. That person doesn't live near me locally so we don't chill much, but we have worked on the backstage crew together at a festival for a few years and also met up at the Oregon Eclipse gathering...Chill & cool dude.

I randomly met one of our trusted identifiers from the hunting/ID board in the middle of the woods.

We had recently moved to rural upstate NY. I found a very unique and diverse forest to hike in and look for mushrooms.
From the first snow melt in may until mid july, I went hunting at least two and sometimes as often as six days a week. Never saw another person there.

One day I was crouched in the bushes, picking a huge patch of Lactarius hygrophoroides.
Someone yells from way down the trail "I thought there was someone here looking at my mushrooms"

We start talking mushrooms. He brings up the shroomery. Turns out he's BobZimmer. The only person I encounter in the woods in months and he's a trusted identifier here on the shroomery.
We went hiking together a bunch after that.
I learned more on those hikes than I did in years of reading about mushrooms.

Word, this sort of thinking is considered borderline paranoid.

" Thinking you can hear anothers thoughts"

" Thinking that people at an event are talking about you"

etc.

While these may be true SOMETIMES, the overall idea is to not think too deep into it.

I think it’s completely possible to read another’s thoughts or pick up on vibrational cues. We can feel someone miles away, and communicate telepathically. How do you think ancient civilizations communicated long distances? There were no telephones to reach out.. they reached out with their minds/spirits.

Now that's a long stretch for most minds, but for me, I will tend to agree with that train of thought.

THere's millions of examples everyday where a mother, brother sister or father or friend just "knows" or dreams about something bad... and then it turns out to be true.

That can't be proven, and has not, by science, ya know? That sort of research will get you tagged by the CIA for psychic research specialist, or at least they used to feed candidates LSD and get them to remote view areas for war purposes...

This sort of thing is not an " on demand " ability. It just happens, and it's true. But it can't be explained, or even studied, or replicated.

Lol. I wasn’t sure man. Just thought you were a fun guy.

My personal experience with it is my first  ever experience doing LSD. I was 17 at the time, and had some mushrooms twice before then, (a eighth each time). I was with one of my best buddies at the time. He took me to this house with people I’ve never met before. These people were aspiring Kung fu masters, a mix of women and men.

It was night out and we went into a open field, snow on the ground. We practiced some Kung fu streatches, which I had never done before. There were deer crossing the railroad tracks. This wasn’t uncommon for the small town of Missoula Montana. It was a energy I had never felt before, complete awe.

We went back inside their home where we practiced some sparring. I was trying to defend against this one woman, but she kept hitting me. It hurt, but I felt alive.

After the sparring we sat down in a circle where we proceeded to read from a spirit animal book. At the time my spirit animal was the ant because I carried the whole weight of the world on my shoulders, (my mom was batteling cancer at the time.

Fast forward to where this story comes to a conclusion...

... We were all sitting around in the same circle, holding hands. The man that was teaching us the martial arts said “hold hands and imagine towers, each tower holds many different plains of consciousness, we can meet on these plains, each level of every tower holds an individual, or group of people, we can meet anytime here.

I felt the towers going up, and up, and up. Each level was like another level of communication, it was like we didn’t need phones or anything to communicate. The levels are where we could meet the others.

Changed my whole perspective on communication from that day forward.

Great story. The first part about the come up and being abused, I don't like it, and that sucks.

But the second part, about where your mind was opened up to the levels of psychic communication ring about true with me.

The story that I've seen and experienced myself, is that if a person experiences heavy drugs before they are 23+, their brain is more likely to be altered in a way that is communicative to the psychic experience for the rest of their life..

Interesting. I wouldn’t doubt that. I’m more in my head most of the time. I socialize yes, but am more of a vibrational person.

Some people get uncomfortable around me because I’m so quiet. I can’t stand people who just talk to hear themselves speak. Mindless chitter chatter pisses me off!

Sounds Ok then, I just wasn't sure from what you said before if you were abused.

Life thoughts: Once the threshold of pain is realized, there is no more pleasure from it.

So yo're "quiet" eh? That's ok, so am I, but I also am known to have a big mouth. I know the best of both worlds because I was lucky to be born like that.

"Chitter chatter people " as you describe are NOT in my life.

I have like 7 FB friends( by choice). I hold time with my family alone . I don't spend any time on that bullshit "chit chat social crap" like you said.

So I tend to agree partially with your post.

I could die today, and be alright with it. I know my time here is short. Why waste it on my suffering?

No one likes to feel pain, but it’s a part of life. If we don’t embrace it, we will spend our whole lives suffering.

Just like Buddha, we have to face our demons.

Quiet people tend to hear/observe more than loud people. We’re just more aware of our surroundings. Everyone has their place though, and lessons to learn.

I love being around loud people sometimes because it gives me another seance of diversity.

I try my best not to judge people, I just prefer the company of certain individuals.

Be careful with the delving and seances.

You sir express, that you might die today and would be ok with it.
Are you ok with a violent death?
a death by torture?
maybe a death by negligent homicide resulting in your permanent paralyzation?

Be careful to be so ready for death. But also, kudos to you for being OK with whatevs.

We must accept our suffering, and embrace life as we know it, even if we're in the moment of dying.

Even if it were a violent death I’d be okay with it. Did Jesus die peacefully? No! He was a martyr.

I don’t want to die right now, but if I did it would be my time to go.

Why fight the inevitable? You’d only be creating more suffering for yourself.

So why create more circumstances where you might die? Why ever leave your tent at all? If you just sleep and live and hunt deer and filter spring water and mushrooms, you'll never have to interact with humans aggain.

RIGHT?

I wish. Not dealing with humans would be like a dream come true to me.

Humans are a part of life though. We learn from one another.

I’m just trying to say.. fuck death! I’ll be returning somewhere else when I pass anyway.

It’s best to make due with what we have in the moment.

Rather than fretting about what could happen the next minute.

Oh yeah!> ?

WHere>?

I too myself think then when I die my body will return to some giant microcosm of the earth, with all it's poisons intact.

But my Soul...

SOuls.

Souls.... this is a dangerous territory.

Interesting concept.

I feel when we pass we enter what may be considered as a waiting room. This is where our soul analysis everything that happened in our lifetime on earth. We practice things in this space, and chart our next lifetime with our spirit guides.

Maybe we become a spirit guide for some other souls lifetime. Our we embark on a new path in a completely new world.

I don’t believe everything just goes black and you’re done for. That shit just depresses me.. how could we explain the DMT experience, or Near death experience? There’s more to death than just total blackness.

Did you guys kiss?

Nah,
For a pot smoking, psychedelic mushroom hunting shroomerite, dude was a surprisingly right wing homophobe.
We still got along well, but kept conversation mostly about mushrooms.

Paradoxical isnt it?

Personalities are super strong, they can even overcome the effects of paychs. Pretty crazy.

You have to consider that all psychedelics work by adjusting your brain chemistry. Without that physical brain there isn't really a place for the "experience" to happen. Anything explaining how that experience can occur without a brain is skating on thin ice. There are beliefs and arguments - from a spiritual or philosophical viewpoint - that attempt to explain it but, on this side of the curtain anyway, all that is just smoke.

I prefer to go the physics route and follow the energy. I choose not to believe that consciousness is an emergent phenomenon but a form of energy. So, it can be neither created or destroyed, only changed. The dark side of that way of thinking is that there might not be much energy there.

We'll all find out soon enough.

How can you be in two places at once, when you're not anywhere at all?

Sure will. Life is short compared to eternity.

All we have is speculation on what happens after death. We’ll know when we’re dead. Best to live a full happy life before then. I want to know I’ve done all I could here before I go.

This thread has gone way off topic lol, but I like it. Thank you everyone for sharing your experience!
