ID Request - Suspected Panaeolus family
    #25732912 -



Habitat:
Wood chips under brush.(located at the person standing) Portland, Oregon.

Gills:
As pictured

Stem:
Thin

Cap:
Diameter, color, texture, conical/spherical, convex/concave, etc.

Spore print color:
Jet black

Bruising:
No bruising, seems to stain dark after being wet. (As pictured)

Other information:
Very fragrant of that mycelium smell.


I'm new! Still learning, these spore prints had me wondering what these might be! So pretty.

Yep, some Psathyrella's can look suspiciously similar to Panaeolus, but the key differences from what I noticed is that on Psathyrella the caps have lines in em and they lack any mottled gills that Panaeolus species have. Also the stem is way different both in color/shape and strength, Psathyrella's are very weak and break easily.
