And yet, here we are talking about walls and not those other things.  This is the distraction the establishment needs to get those other things through.  I'd be fine with a wall if it meant we could focus our attention back on the things that actually matter.

That's exactly what would happen.

I'm glad to hear you say that.

As a past example, a mayor in Israel said people were yelling racist, but after the wall was built, people quit complaining and went back to life -- with little to zero illegal immigration.

My ex boyfriend grew up in the most southern neighborhood in California called San Ysidro. He’s so close to Mexico when he goes home he has to turn off roaming on his phone because the closest cell tower is Mexican/ At the end of his street is the Tijuana river and a horse ranch and beyond that is the border zone with terrain crisscrossed with truck tracks for BP vehicle. And a 30 foot wall. His parents still find migrants hiding in their yard monthly

The senate has adjourned for Christmas. No deal. Trump is stuck in DC all alone because he’s certainly not going to be a hypocrite and use government transportation during a shutdown.

Edit: And what kind of dim witted moron cites a wall on a heavily guarded prison, where people are kept in barred cells, as evidence that a wall would work spanning over a thousand miles without active guard? I'm surprised some of you are capable of handling a spoon without causing self harm.

I don't think the takeaway is that Democrats oppose boarders. You could say that Democrats have become the only remotely fiscally responsible party in Washington. Dems don't spend Trillions of dollars on fighter jet development, silly boarder walls, tax cuts for the wealthy, or extravagant wars in the middle east. No, they just want to give us healthcare.

Right, only people on the fringe are calling for open borders or not enforcing them. The majority of us simply want it to be done effectively and efficiently. It's telling that the right has to keep resorting to strawmen, they can't argue with the reslity so they have to make up a fake position in which they can attack.
