:shroomeryhead:

Let's get a new tradition going you guys

Our best, favorite, proudest work of the year

in one giant collage

Our very own shroomery yearbook 2018

Like a time capsule

for future shroomerites to enjoy

:sun:

On New Year's Day 2019 we put away this thread into the hall of archives for memories

:mushroom2:

1.) Your best work of 2018.  Photos photos photos for the cultivation archives.

2.) One lesson of success to pass on and help others.

3.) One lesson of failure to pass on and help others.

4.) 2019 - What's on the horizon for you? What will you be studying, working on, in cultivation? Tease us!

1.) Your best work of 2018.  Photos photos photos!

Psilocybe mexicana

Psilocybe caerulescens

Panaeolus cinctulus sclerotia x Outdoor bed

2.) One lesson of success to pass on and help others.

I have confirmed for myself that Psilocybe caerulescens performs better in mostly straw substrates. Adding wood is not necessary and just prolongs fruiting. Caerus = straw straw straw. :sun:

3.) One lesson of failure to pass on and help others.

I learned for myself that cold-weather Gymnopilus thiersii does not like direct misting.  They abort after being misted.  Yikes! Gotta redo this one.

4.) 2019 - What's next for you in cultivation? What will you be studying, developing, working on - Tease us!

Pluteus phaeocyanopus :super:

:shroompick:

A bit of fun before the New Year.

Happy Holidays.

-Sara

Tough to follow you Saralove you have beautiful grows.

1) I don't know that's it's my best but it's one of the prettiest.

2) Successes I have learned is mostly drying grains fully. Better to be too dry than too wet.

3) Failures have come from cutting corners. Mycology isn't a race. Take your time and be patient. The mushrooms will reward you for it.

EDIT - Almost forgot about this one. Be careful who you choose for your shroom sitter when you go on vacation. This was 2nd flush sporsplosion on my very 1st grow.

4) In the future I plan to work on more edibles and more exotics.

I hope this formatted ok I cracked my phone screen today lol.

I don’t know much about Cubensis though. You would definitely give better advice than me there.

That’s really cool work and photo. :sun:

Which Gyms are ya working with?

1) Not my best work, but I'm proud of them anyways.

2) A lesson of success that I would stress to future shroomers is CLEANLINESS! I cannot stress enough how important it is to be a clean as possible with all you sterile techniques and spawn! It is truly the biggest key to success!

3) A lesson from failure is not let yourself get overwhelmed with projects. If you take on more projects than you can handle you'll jeopardize it all! Budget your time and have a distinct plan as to what you want to accomplish and how to accomplish it then just do it!

4) 2019 looks very promising for my gourmet biz. I will be opening a website and making available spawn bags and hopefully some other cultivation items for sale. NO ACTIVES...strictly gourmets!

On a side note: To all my fellow cultivators and myconuts that I have had convo with either in PM or even on the boards...A special 2018 thank you to you and everyone that participates in mush cult! After

awhile you start to see the same names and the same awesome members helping the cause and to me that is The Shroomery!! With all the personalities on the boards and with everything that goes on

in cult...we are all family!! Mush Love!

1.) Your best work of 2018.  Photos photos photos for the cultivation archives.

Cubes!

Pretty Shots!

King Oysters!

2.) One lesson of success to pass on and help others.

Keep an open mind when it comes to the things you read and want to try, but also double check your info.

3.) One lesson of failure to pass on and help others.

Make sure your mushroom fridge is working properly before you store cultures in it.

4.) 2019 - What's on the horizon for you? What will you be studying, working on, in cultivation? Tease us!

Something with vape stuff, and an overhaul on the Grain Liquid Inoculate Tek. :super:
