1.) Your best work of 2018.  Photos photos photos for the cultivation archives.

2.) One lesson of success to pass on and help others.

Keep it simple.  Agar to grain is simple, fast, and reliable.

3.) One lesson of failure to pass on and help others.

Mason jars break easily.  Be careful when trying to break up grains.  I'm glad mine broke against a hard object and not the palm of my hand.  Could have been a lot worst.

4.) 2019 - What's on the horizon for you? What will you be studying, working on, in cultivation? Tease us!

I want to do another picture intense grow log, detail out all of my work and thought process.  Rusty Whyte From Spore Envelope to Monotub Harvest.

Beauty of a thread saralove. Already more than enough gold to inspire anyone to give cultivation a go in 2019.

Here's my best of 2018.

Psilocybe alutacea

Gymnopilus dilepis/purpuratus

2.) One lesson of success to pass on and help others.

In regards to P.alutacea. The species grows like a weed if you keep the fruiting temperature below 20c. Performance on grain and manure are comparable provided a casing layer is applied. Light intensity seems to influence morphology. Increased intensity makes for squat specimens with a larger pileus. Ideal for prints.

3.) One lesson of failure to pass on and help others.

When I started, I grew more green than you'll see at a golf course. This hobbie requires a lot of patience and practice. When you do fail, consider it an opportunity to learn and move on.

4.) 2019 - What's on the horizon for you? What will you be studying, working on, in cultivation? Tease us!

Actives

P.subaeruginosa, P.azurescens.

Edibles

Pleurotus pulmonarius
Pleurotus eryngii
Morchella sp

I absolutely love you!

2018 has been a full plate of grows for me
Here's some 2018 grows

1.
Panaeolus cyanescens Jamaica- for fans of overlay

Panaeolus bisporus

Gymnopilus luteofolius

Some mini grows:
Panaeolus cambodgeniensis Sandose (mutoids), Panaeolus cinctilus, Panaeolus cyanescens Hawaii,

Panaeolus cyanescens Australia

Panaeolus cyanescens Alabama

Panaeolus cyanescens "Washington County Texas" *(Brazoria is a miss label).

2.
Lesson of success- I've been kind-of meticulous, I think its helped me especially working with more finicky Pans.

3.
Lesson of failure- Bad planning- To embark on too many overlapping grows, such that there is no room in the fruiting chamber to accommodate, unfortunately I haven't learned that lesson yet!

4.
Whats on the horizon? IDK, I want to do everything! I just hope I can carve out the time to get something done in 2019. On an aside, I've helped and learned from some really cool people over the past year; I hope that can continue into 2019 and become a trend :sunny:
