Every unmodified tubs sub/spawn/prep has been done as a normal mono lol. You could do a hundred comparisons real easy with the search

I'm saying what about a real-time, side-by-side, simultaneous grow of the same isolate under the exact same conditions, at the exact same time, with the only difference being modded and unmodded tubs.

Is there no value in this comparison?

This equivelant tub is 5 bucks. Comparatively it's worth it it's the best of both worlds. Nice tray depth, easy access, and humidity control and it's 3 inches longer. Plus the bottom is only like 2 bucks.

It looks like both work to me. The thing people are aguing over is ease of operation right? Which will take the least maintenance is the question.

Do a test and see. You already mod your tubs right? Get a new one and see! You can always mod it if you don't like the results.

One nice thing about modded is that you can stack them.

However, I just use unmodified because I'd rather be sitting on my ass eating cheetos than drilling holes in my tubs.  I'm a lazy fuck :shrug:

RR has never grown mushrooms in a monotub

Half the people using unmodified have started with modified tubs like myself. The other half are new to the game entirely.

Yea sure it could be a nice comparison. You would have to do that test with a few isolates tho. Otherwise its just comparison of how much one isolate likes one kind of tub more than another. Still need to average results over many trials

I am gonna modify a bunch more of mine soon so I can stack em; modified monos definitely serve a good purpose

Betcha he says do what works. And would tell you not to take his sgfc theory so seriously. It was trial and error built. A theory was made to fit later.
