Ok if this works, we got a whole new use for hand towels, lol. They should be about the right size for a mono tub.

I think it's gonna work unusually well for being what it is. Might even get a full canopy.

this is the kind of experimentalism i like. crazy ideas backed up with actual action, rather than arguing with anyone who expresses doubt it will work. good stuff, man. i'm eager for the discussion of the recipes. i was just reading about these super absorbent polymers, wondering how they might fare for humidity chambers, subs and such. professor whyte, lead researcher.

Fuck yes, that's some easy spawning innit.
I was thinking about sandwiching it between 2 layers of CVG and making the bottom layer thicker than the top layer.
I don't how much nutrition the towel can hold/absorb but if it's able to hold enough nutrition to support a good flush then this can be a rad idea for people who just want some easy quick shrooms making use of cheap and easy to sterilize ingredients. Fuck you might not even need a PC for this.

Since bag 2 had some great looking growth I decided to mash the bag. It was an interesting feeling. Needed to be a little careful to not get media on the filter patch as this bag had the lower agar ratio and was less stiff. However it mashed up quite easily, I’m hopeful that it explodes in growth.

These are the ways I’m considering fruiting these.

Cut top of bag off, case and top fruit in an appropriate chamber
Case and fruit in bag, cut a few slits for FAE
Remove from bag, case block and fruit in GH or SGFC
Remove from bags, place in mono and case and level with coir verm. Need a few blocks to do this for a big tub.

Hmm. If it were me i would do a small tub or shoebox.

U should definitely try fruiting one as is tho eventually. That would be crazy if it could fruit without a casing...

I would top fruit the first one to see if it works and then lay the second flat with a casing in a mono. Although you did say it mashes easily so you could split it up and do a mix layer and a top layer or whatever you usually do. I'm thinking poly'Fil sheet/blanket.

Or maybe try all ways, and just start with the first 2 on ur list and make more to try the other ways.

I wonder if something similar could be done with memory foam.

Well I’m not really done yet. Gonna go get more materials and do more tests. Going to try an LI inoculation soon I think.
