cracked corn

ok this is a question about the cracked corn teq which can be found on http://www.shroomery.org/index/par/23859 or you can look under bulk substrates,in the middle in the document it says "upon cooking cc,expands 2x.just look and tell me if that means i have to cook the cracked corn twice or just that one day,and how long does it take for the cc to cool until i can finally drop my spores in?-

It just means that the corn becomes twice as big once cooked.
Not that you have to cook it twice.

This is important, as you need to allow room in
the jars for the corn to swell and expand into.

At least 3 hours untill cool enougth to inoculate.

Well, that means that after you get done with the simmering, it'll take up about 2wice as much space as it did before hand.
You do know that you have to PC it, right? The simmering bit is only to get it all moisturized.
After an hour or so of cooking at pressure, it seems to take between 4-6 hours for a half-gallon to drop to innoculation-safe temps.
Probably 2.5-4 for a quart.
If you need more help, lemme know. I got this shit to work right, finally.

no you dont have to pressurecook it,once the slimy coat shows up you just have to take the corn out and let it cool down for 24 hours
