Yeah, back in amsterdam, I fucked around with that shit. Corncob looks wicked, the first time you grow it out. If you follow thejaff's little corncob tek, you can grow a huge white brick in ten or twelve days, which looks impressive - but they seem to contam like a motherfucker when you try to use it as spawn, and seem to recover poorly - grain or birdseed has worked much better in my experience. I've never tried to fruit from one, but have heard stories of absolutely pitiful yeilds when some guy I knew over there tried to fruit little casings of it in those loaf pans. I cannot believe you innoculated jars of it though - that's nuts. And the stuff always looks dry to me, but if you compare it to the dry stuff, you can easily tell the difference.

My hippie friend has had good experinces using the corn cob mylceum tek. He tried to fruit the corn cob by just adding a casing layer, but had no luck! After spawing to some straw, he managed to get very good yelds spawn run
straw becoming over taken by corncob
 the straw cased and fruiting
