First time trying to ID mushrooms
    #25538474 -

Hello

Brand new to this but wanting to know more about mushrooms and need some help ID'ing these. Any help is appreciated

Habitat:I live in the north east of scotland and found these about a month ago, meant to post them up here a while ago but have been busy. Found these in the back garden

Stem:
The stem was very thin and long. Tried to add a standard biro pen for a bit of reference of size.

Cap:
Probably about 5mm in diameter

Spore print color:
Wasn't able to get a good one but it was dark in colour brown/purple

They are pretty small as I'm guessing they are quite young. But hope the photos are alright.

Any blue purple or black bruising after giving one a good pinch? I think it's possible (I'm not a TI) you should take my OPINION with a grain of salt and don't eat these until they are 100% identified-possible that those are psilocybe semilanceata. Liberty caps. Compare on Google images.

Just curious but when you say back garden? Do you mean your back yard? And do you have any animals that graze in your "back garden" like cattle or sheep? Or is it just straight grassland? Any fertilizer or dung near by?

Awesome find dude! Like I said in my first post im curious to know if you found these near grazing animals like cattle or sheep? Or was this pretty much just grass land?

Thanks for the response, just took a wild guess if they were the right ones but was not sure I now kinda know what I'm looking for at least. Yeah same as back yard and no animals right next to us, nearest field with animals is probably 500m but land had been used as farm land previously and turned into housing in the last few years.

Ok well that make sense why you have liberty caps growing in your back yard then lol I dont usually see that to often, liberty caps growing in someones back yard with no grazing animals around but if it was a farmland in the last few years the ground is probably well fertilized.

That awesome to be able to have P. Semilanceata growing in your back yard bro! Most people have to go to pasture land where cows or sheep are to find them.
Or anywhere that cow/sheep graze really but thats super convenient for you

Congrats on your first find man, it usually takes people some time searching all over the place but that was pretty damn simple for you lol you just went and looked in your backyard. Good job! :seriousthumbsup:
