When do you all take petri dishes out of sleeve?
    #25512409 -

This may seem like a dumb question, but is it okay to take dishes out of sleeve before putting them in SAB? Would you not have to worry about contams getting in or do you just have to be careful to not let any of the dishes open? I'm sure it's awkward to take them out in the SAB so I doubt anyone does that.

I just keep them closed until in SAB and then open the dish.

I slice the bag open on the bottom, put it inside the SAB, push down with my index finger on the top dish and slide the plastic off the dishes without disturbing them to much and without the lids moving around. I'm sure there are other ways to do this too.

You keep the plastic sleeve closed until in SAB? Or you keep the dishes closed until in SAB

Dishes are always closed unless you open them to inoculate or cut!

:whathesaid:... I cut the sleeve enough to grab 5-6 plates, and tear it further back as I need more plates... this way, I can fold the sleeve around any remaining plates for future use, with minimal exposure... all inside the SAB
