SPECIAL INVESTIGATION Trump Engaged in Suspect Tax Schemes as He Reaped Riches From His Father

The New York Times has a massive article on just how shady and sleazy the Trump family business really is. This guy is such a fraud. Lazy POS living off of daddy’s inheritance and defrauding the US taxpayers.

Quote:
President Trump participated in dubious tax schemes during the 1990s, including instances of outright fraud, that greatly increased the fortune he received from his parents, an investigation by The New York Times has found.

Mr. Trump won the presidency proclaiming himself a self-made billionaire, and he has long insisted that his father, the legendary New York City builder Fred C. Trump, provided almost no financial help.

But The Times’s investigation, based on a vast trove of confidential tax returns and financial records, reveals that Mr. Trump received the equivalent today of at least $413 million from his father’s real estate empire, starting when he was a toddler and continuing to this day.

Much of this money came to Mr. Trump because he helped his parents dodge taxes. He and his siblings set up a sham corporation to disguise millions of dollars in gifts from their parents, records and interviews show. Records indicate that Mr. Trump helped his father take improper tax deductions worth millions more. He also helped formulate a strategy to undervalue his parents’ real estate holdings by hundreds of millions of dollars on tax returns, sharply reducing the tax bill when those properties were transferred to him and his siblings.

Quote:
The president’s parents, Fred and Mary Trump, transferred well over $1 billion in wealth to their children, which could have produced a tax bill of at least $550 million under the 55 percent tax rate then imposed on gifts and inheritances.

The Trumps paid a total of $52.2 million, or about 5 percent, tax records show.

No wonder he refuses to release his tax forms after
promising to so for so many months.

Did he finally get the mexicans to pay for his wall yet?

Typical member of the so-called elite class.  Lazy and incompetent, resorting to crime to placate their sense of entitlement.

I would be more surprised if he hadn’t committed tax fraud . It’s exactly what you would expect to see when a primary candidate refuses to release his tax returns .
And this is what you get when you ignore  our intelligence services.

Yet, it's most likely legal. You do realize they lobby for the tax loopholes?

Yes I know they rig the system to make their crimes 'legal', but this isn't being reported as exploiting loopholes.

It's being described as fraud.

From my local Rag,

Jersey casinos, East Orange complex, were just part of Trump's schemes, says NYT  Posted Oct 2, 5:28 PM
https://www.nj.com/news/index.ssf/2018/10/jersey_casinos_east_orange_complex_were_just_part.html#incart_river_index

"In Atlantic City at the Trump Castle casino, The Times spelled out how an illegal loan from his father
was able to keep the future president from defaulting on his bonds.

"Donald Trump had wildly overspent on renovations, leaving the property dangerously low on operating cash.
Sure enough, neither Trump's Castle nor its owner had the necessary funds to make an $18.4 million bond payment
due in December 1990," the newspaper found. "On Dec. 17, 1990, Fred Trump dispatched Howard Snyder, a trusted bookkeeper,
to Atlantic City with a $3.35 million check. Mr. Snyder bought $3.35 million worth of casino chips and left without placing a bet."

The same day, Fred Trump wrote a second check to the casino for $150,000, according to the report,
calling it an illegal $3.5 million loan under New Jersey gaming laws--and resulting in a $65,000 civil penalty."

Sounds legit.

There are legal methods for reducing your tax burden. Fake, inflated billing statements are not one of them. That is just fraud.

is there actual PROOF/EVIDENCE of this claim, or is it more baseless allegations?

if so, mind providing the quote/text of it, since you're making the claim in your subject heading?  i really don't feel like sifting through a long, boring article just for more "guesswork" and "speculation" without anything to back it up.

Yes they have the fraudulent statements. I’m sorry, evidence of tax fraud is usually boring.

This is why Trump was so determined to eliminate the inheritance tax, so that his vile spawn wouldn't have to break the law to get all his money when that wonderful day comes.

how do they know these statements are fraudulent?

it's not inherently boring.  but reading pages of hearsay and speculation with no evidence of anything is inherently boring.

you have made a claim, based on another's claim, and have provided nothing for us that backs up those claims, only a link to the initial claimer.  you do this all the time.

show me the quote the definitively proves that supposedly-fraudulent statements are indeed fraudulent.

supposedly the NYT has published this definitive information, yet koods isn't kind enough to give us the specifics of the article he himself linked which supposedly proves the claim he is making.

It’s a 40,000 word investigation. You want me to prove in a paragraph what it took the NYT 10 pages to detail. Read the article. It has the goods.

You could always, ya know, just read the article.

To dispute the claims without even reading the article is really silly.
