Btw, i have very good discernment, i don't come to my conclusions easily or quickly, i put things to the test, i experiment around, i approach things from a more scientific/skeptical mindset, i just am open minded, receptive and pay attention. So make of it what you will, put in the work, take it seriously (but not too seriously), be open minded (but not too open minded/gullible), and you will experience some real deal shit ime, as Terence McKenna said, it's something you have to coax into existence, meaning you have to induce it from within, if you just take a drug and expect it to do all the work, of course you're not going to get much out of it, you have to interact with it and put in some effort, practice, discipline, you have to pay attention and be willing to learn. If you want the goods, you've gotta put in the work.

Also, compared to what all there is to know when it comes to Entheogens, i've only scratched the surface of things, even though i've already learned a lot and took Aya daily/near daily for 4 years, so i've still got a long way to go but it's deeeeeep, for sure.

“Reality, as you currently experience it, is something like a waking dream. It is disguising deeper and more intensified levels of being and knowing. For those who are ready and willing, the doors to those other levels now stand open.” ~ Daniel Pinchbeck

"You said you wanted these spiritual realities to become vivid for you, but now there's nothing between you and it, except the decision to make it happen." ~ Terence McKenna

“You don’t have to wait for the end of the world to get this news. You can just short circuit the collective march toward that realization by accelerating your own microcosm of spirituality through the use of these hallucinogens. They are the doorway that the Gaian mind has installed in the historical process to let anybody out, any time they want to, provided they have the courage to turn the knob and walk through the door.” ~ Terence McKenna

ya, i had this amazing experience my last journey. i saw all these memories and thoughts, and then all of a sudden, something reached my heart, and i literally felt like a key unlocked the armor and shield around my heart, and I wailed for who knows how long, maybe 15-20 minutes, released so much pent up rage, frustration, sadness. my heart melted for real.

i dont know anything, the point is fungi/mushrooms have probably been here much longer than humans can imagine. but who knows right?

and no wonder you have no vision and no faith and no true knowledge: you think mushrooms are nasty. you are worried about indigestion and gasses when, really, your greatest pain is the heart that's closed to love. i used to hate myself for so many years; my mind was shut. i thought i was intelligent and always wanted to prove others wrong, to destroy others in debates and business and life. but now i see how wrong i was.

i really hope the mushrooms keep giving you opportunities to surrender to that which is beyond our control (basically everything), and to cry out all those tears.

beyond everything, much love.

I can only conclude that the psychedelic community has quite a bit if trouble distinguishing fantasy from reality.

But to be fair most people that dont take psychedelics also do

Sabnock sorry to hear about your father's death. 4 years ago I caught MRSA on my right knee. Started as what looked like and ant bite and exploded into a severe infection in a couple days. Doctors said I could have lost my leg had I came in a day later. Since then I have pain and inflammation.

This company has a new kind of antibiotic against MRSA

https://www.contrafect.com/technology/lysins

It is very promising and really cool. They use a protein produced by viruses that attack bacteria. And will publish the results of clinical trials in two months.

It is also a good investment. Has risk but probably 300% upside in 3 months if data is good.

Science bitches!

"Pride goeth before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall."

i've experienced several falls in my life. reputation, status, health, money -- all gone.

now, i really try not to act like i know anything, because life and nature always shows me who's boss.

"Alas, in my declining years
My debt of gratitude is still unpaid [to his parents, I assume].
As my debt is still outstanding,
Shallow is my wisdom and yet deep my karma."

in the end, all our bodies disintegrate into dust. better find out what's beyond the body and mind before we die.

All beings tremble before violence.
All fear death.
All love life.

See yourself in others.
Then whom can you hurt?
What harm can you do?

He who seeks happiness
By hurting those who seek happiness
Will never find happiness.

For your brother is like you.
He wants to be happy.
Never harm him
And when you leave this life
You too will find happiness.

"Who is more foolish, the child afraid of the dark or the man afraid of the light?" ~ Maurice Freehill

I choose the Light, not darkness, though i don't ignore the darkness, i work through it.

"For the wise man looks for his or her own path and listens to the direction of the soul." ~ Quential

“The most compelling insight of that day was that this awesome recall had been brought about by a fraction of a gram of a white solid, but that in no way whatsoever could it be argued that these memories had been contained within the white solid. Everything I had recognized came from the depths of my memory and my psyche. I understood that our entire universe is contained in the mind and the spirit. We may choose not to find access to it, we may even deny its existence, but it is indeed there inside us, and there are chemicals that can catalyze its availability.” ~ Alexander Shulgin

"There are things known and there are things unknown, and in between are the doors of perception." ~ Aldous Huxley

"It is easier to perceive error than to find truth, for the former lies on the surface and is easily seen, while the latter lies in the depth where few are willing to search for it." ~ Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

"If most of us remain ignorant of ourselves, it is because self-knowledge is painful and we prefer the pleasures of illusion." ~ Aldous Huxley

"It is high time that we realized that it is pointless to praise the light and preach it if nobody can see it. It is much more needful to preach the art of seeing." ~ Carl G. Jung

"Real spiritual work is a continual process of radical psychological death, in which all that is illusion, all that is false, dies, and what is born is truth, and cognizance of what is real."

"Maybe you are seeking among the branches, for what only appears in the roots."

"No wonder psychedelics are threatening to an authoritarian religious hierarchy, you don't need faith to benefit from a psychedelic experience, let alone a priest or even a shaman to interpret it. What you need is courage - courage to drink the brew, eat the mushroom, or whatever it is, and then to pay attention, and make of it what you will. Suddenly, the tools for direct contact with the transcendent other (whether you call it God or something else) is taken from the hands of an anointed elite and given to the individual seeker." ~ Dennis McKenna

If you're using psychedelics to answer questions like "Does gravity really exist?" or "Can I know future events before they happen?" then you're missing the point.  Fantasy and rejection of reality is not spirituality.

Psychedelics have taught me a lot about myself, what I'm being honest with myself about and not, what I need to change about how I treat other people, how my values need to change, how I should relate to the natural world... etc. There is much to be learned from reflecting on such things while in the altered frame of mind that psychedelics provide. There is spiritual value in these things and answers that are found that no one else can teach you.

Thanks. Yeah my dad had surgery on his shoulder awhile back in like 2000 or something, and got MRSA from improperly sterilized surgical tools thanks to the uninformed interns at the time, he had been septic with MRSA twice around that time and then he got over it with anti-biotics in the hospital. Then fast forward to January 2014, 2 weeks after my vision, he came down with the same symptoms, at first he looked sick and pale, then he went loopy, i should've been aware at the time what was going on and it was obvious and right in my face, but i was too clouded by the Cannabis at the time to realize what was going on.

Telepathy with psychedelics is real, seeing the future while on psychedelics is real. I've experienced both briefly and to varying degrees, and have read countless reports of others experiencing the same... from the McKenna's and Stamets down to an endless amount of threads here and on other forums. Don't know how or why it happens, but I'd be delusional if I didn't believe it after everything I've experienced/read.

Even without any of that, psychedelics show us without fail what neuroscience research has long-since confirmed, that our perceptions ultimately just conjure up an illusion, that is at best an evolutionarily suited representation of something "real". The fact we think we understand reality is laughable, when the only information we actually receive from our environment is heavily filtered, doctored, and not even in real-time. Science can extend life (give or take 80 years out of billions the earth's been around) and make life easier, that's not all that interesting to me. If I had to chose only one I'd rather have a proper psychedelic experience than know every fact of science.

Materialism falls short intellectually from the get go. If we eventually create intelligent AI in a video game, does that AI grow to figure out the code of the game, then believe that the code is an explanation for all that exists? It's figured everything out, with science it's been able to explain everything since the game first loaded and came to be from "nothing". Well, the AI simply can't comprehend the humans that caused its existence, because we're not written in or into the code that it exists within. All it can know is what's written into the code that its reality is made of. There could be unintentional and confusing hints at our existence written into the code, but it'd likely form other interpretations for those. There's a difference between what we're capable of explaining or even understanding, and the literally unlimited realm of what's possible.

Psychedelics can allow you to get a taste for "what if" scenarios of reality, they can rock your perceptions and preconceived notions of existence so much that you end us questioning everything you believed prior. A lot of people seem to cling to something new when that happens, like "psychedelics are God" or "it's all a simulation" for example. A few more trips may wipe that notion away as well

That's a long winded way of saying that none of us know shit. believing in anything, including materialistic science, may blind you more than help you.

I agree.

And it's true, we really don't know shit, though there are things we can know, but compared to what we do know, we don't know shit lol.

I vehemently disagree. I must be the only materialist that likes psychedelics

We are a complex molecular machine and us being here does not change the way things are. And the world has very strict, clear laws about which we know much more intimately than you realize. We don't know everything, but know the laws of everything that can have a material impact of us. With absolute precision and certainty. What we don't know is simply due to computational complexity. But we know exactly with astounding precision how each little piece moves.

There simply is no room for nothing else. There just isn't. That is what you people don't realize.

We know more than you think.

For instance we know there can't be other charged particle like the electron. With 100% absolute certainty. Why? Mathematics. The mathematical theory that describes the would would break down. Not to talk about ghosts, spirits or ridiculous things... It you people that don't know those things. But some humans do have that knowledge.

Versus a guy on mushrooms and mathematics I believe mathematics. Because they work.
