How is the person who pays increasingly higher taxes the harder and longer he works liberating? Why withhold the reward of hard work?

While it may not be true for everyone receiving benefits, one person I know has so much adopted the role of being mentally disabled that he seems to have forgotten that when he first started getting the checks it was only a fraud perpetrated to live the easy life (I knew him before that time and during the sign up process.) The fear of loosing the money seems to have given him motivation to become professionally crazy, and I would say he succeeded as he no longer drops the act after leaving his evaluations. I think the system that rewards dependent behavior and punishes those that want to be independent, or who want a higher quality of life is damaging to our species as a whole, as these welfare scams (which morph into actual mental disabilities) are often taught to children, who are also sometimes only valued as an additional source of  welfare income. But you seem to think that teaching children any other philosophy will make them stupid.
Over 11% of New York city residents claim to be disabled, this doesn't include all of the other welfare benefits, is that the future you want?  Or is it that you plan on joining the ranks of the unemployable? It is often claimed that slavery was liberating for the slave masters, this seems to be your argument. Do you really think people are free and pursuing their happiness by being forced to feed and clean up after you?

Why dont you ask me a specific question instead of rambling incoherently on your misconceptions.

I am a slightly familiar with Scandinavian politics. I do believe that they are the first countries in the world that will abolish tobacco use in their countries, even ahead of the U.N. schedule. The Democratic Socialists (capitalists who believe in a strong welfare state) are perhaps even more insidious than overt Tyranny, there is still the strong centralized power of a tyrant but it lacks the violence that lets you know you are being controlled by force. The system, engineers consent and creates uniformity, the masses of people are sleepwalking and have no need for their brains. What happens to those that do not like what is happening to their rights and speak up about it? What happens to those that don't want their children to be subjected to the Socialist Democratic Conformist-Groupthink Schools? Individualism and Independence (American Values) are disapproved of as they threaten the system that everyone is feeding on. It is a Society that decides what is best for you and makes you afraid to say how you really feel. Continued nonconformity will lead to forced control.
Here is an example of one family that just wants the government to leave them in peace. Of course that isn't happening.

This is a really interesting post. It's brilliant, really. It's a clever summation of years of teachings. You know what this post reminds me of? The restaurant scene in the first Matrix, the one where Cypher tells Agent Smith that he wants to be plugged back in. That's portrayed as a betrayal, a fundamental rejection of humanity. He's the bad guy. But why? He is giving up a life of shitty ass gruel and potentially dying to robot-squid while following orders on what looks to be a high-speed deathtrap piloted by a drug addled religious lunatic, in favor of a life of (simulated) entertainment, wealth, fucking steak...I mean, how long could you eat oatmeal before you wanted to get a nice, medium rare T-bone?

See, there is a freedom in releasing your grip, allowing the system to take hold. Enjoying that steak. There's also a freedom in fighting against the system, being Morpheus. Being Neo. Being The One.

Being the guy that ruins a pretty goddamn good deal everyone else had going, what with their full body VR videogames. Think everyone was happy to wake up a weak husk that had literally never moved in it's life? Doubt it. Were there enough ships to catch everyone before they drowned? Sure didn't seem like it.

It's a nice to take back control, and a lot of this makes sense. On a small scale. If actually implemented, it would work, after a bunch of people died off. The tricky bit is picking who's to die off. And how.

I should really say the same to you after reading the above post, why are you so full of anger?  Why are you advocating violence now?

Well what do you know!  Education works, without making it illegal!!!

LOL, you think it is a good thing to change people's behavior using tax money. So much for trusting people to live a manipulation free life. The beginning of the campaign starts with increasing taxes to make it unaffordable, along with propaganda campaigns spreading antisocial ideas about smokers. On July 1st they just raised the tax on vaping liquid again, taxes will keep being raised over and over again. The taxes targeting certain groups are not a sign of a society that treats everyone with equal respect.

And here we go again... free healthcare, free higher education, more vacation time = tyranny, while homelessness, hunger, bankruptcy = freedom.  I don't get that mentality.

I still don't understand how you can use the word Free the way you do. Are you using the latest Newspeak Dictionary?
Show me how the math allows it to be free. All I see is a lie.

No, that's not correct (as The Ecstatic pointed out), but great job reciting billionaire propaganda!

"That's not correct" is not an explanation of what is wrong with the logic. I am not a billionaire, I am probably less financially secure than you. I just happen to see what is going on.

More propaganda.  Nothing could be further from the truth.

But these Socialist and Communist publications contain also a critical element. They attack every principle of existing society. Hence they are full of the most valuable materials for the enlightenment of the working class. The practical measures proposed in them, such as the abolition of the distinction between town and country, of the family - Manifesto of the Communist Party

Welfare is what you are calling for. Welfare that is based of the theft of labor and money from those that work as opposed to voluntary charity. A short way of saying that is you find it liberating to receive food and have your garbage taking at the expense of workers. You seem to think that workers have no right to their own labor.

Welfare is what social democrats are calling for. I am not a social democrat.

Regardless, welfare isnt "feeding and cleaning up" after people. Its there as a bandaid to "solve" the inherent shortcomings of capitalism.

Taxes have nothing to do with socialism.  And there's nothing wrong with educating people about the dangers of smoking; people should be aware of this so they can make informed choices.  You seem to think education is bad.

If you don't pay for something, it is free.  Yes, I realize people work to provide healthcare, higher education, and housing, but everyone gets it regardless of their ability to pay. Unlike in capitalism where many people go without these.

The idea of "free" entitlement is spread by the simultaneous teaching of victimhood with flattery. People are told how wonderful they are and how they don't deserve their miserable lot in life. That by majority they can stand up for justice and democratically enforce everyone to pay their fair share. In other words they are taught to think that other people owe them something for nothing (or for taught injustices that happened between ancestors), that other people should be forced by law to give away what they have worked for because they are entitled to it.  And so we have the manipulation of humans by using envy, greed, vanity, and laziness. This results in the enslavement of entire populations to ensure everyone has the same mediocre fate. Such cons are easy to perpetrate on most people, and they gladly pass responsibility for their lives onto others, yoking their productive neighbors into servitude with new socialist laws. This system doesn't encourage people to be better, to improve their lot in life, or to learn responsibility. It only perpetrates victim ideology, emphasizing the ones being robbed (productive citizens) as being the exploiters, and encourages totalitarian government dependency. Looking at modern history textbooks in schools all that one sees is victimization stories and the myth of progress we have made in treating everyone fairly by instituting this socialist form of government.  However once instituted completely, socialist and communist governments do not allow minority voices to be heard, there is no freedom of press for the rebellious citizen, all that is offered them is the mental hospital or prison work camp. Civil rights advocates only operate in countries that are being taken over by socialism, not in countries that have been taken over. Once people really become victims of government oppression, really are slaves, and are trapped in a surveillance state, there is no uncensored media exposure or protest allowed for them. Freedom comes with responsibility, it isn't free and it isn't easy. Slavery is most successful when the slaves put the chains on themselves, it as easy as giving up on life.

Everything you said is nonsense.  Let's start with "they are taught to think that other people owe them something for nothing".  How do you get so clueless if you actually read communist literature?

Which means that you do not believe in private property, parental rights over children or even the ownership of one's right to choose their job. Am I right about that?
You believe in the collective, not in the individual?

What makes you think communists have no right to choose their job?  People get to decide what field they want to work in, and jobs go to the most qualified people, just as they do under capitalism.

This explains why getting something for "free" has nothing to do with freedom. People are forced to work, it isn't truly free.

The main problem I have with the collective is the forced nature of it. Why insist that everyone must be subjected, why not be happy in your communes? Making life altering decisions and limiting the freedom of people who are different from you is the error I see.

No one is "forced" to work.  If you don't work, you don't get things.  Just like it is under capitalism.

It would go like this.
The schools are where children are tested, aptitude tests, personality tests, physical fitness tests, etc. These are used to steer that child into vocational work that the state found suitable for them. There will no longer be a choice to home school or provide a liberal arts education, people will be prepped for their future, which will largely be up to what that society needs.

We all realize free public college isnt acrually free. We just want our tax dollars to go to something that benefits us instead of the shareholders of Raytheon.

Wrong.  People can decide for themselves what line of work they want to go into.  If they're the most qualified, they can do that work.

Just like in the US.  Not everyone that wants to be a doctor can be.  You have to be extremely qualified to go to Med School.  So you're not free to be a doctor under capitalism unless you're the most qualified.
