Pans are I whole other beast and I respect the shit out of anyone who manages full tight flushes that I have come across in some threads. (would acknowledge but can't remember exact thread. Think it was Mary something.) But yes I would possibly be interested and this would give me time to get some fresh ones going too. Good luck with the revival :rockon:

24hrs after shake and starting to rebound nicely with multiple points of inoculation. Some more than others but they seem to be doing well!

Went shopping today as I only have a 64qt/61L sterilte and don't believe that I will have enough spawn for this size with the 8 pint jars I currently have going, so I got myself this 34qt/32L tub

I am thinking bods unmodified instead of Pasty's monotub is what I will end up doing for my first bulk. This way I can use 6 out of the 8 jars and either do a shoebox on the side with the remaining 2 jars, or use them for G2G :jointsmile:

Was planning on doing the one in the pic and either a shoebox or G2G as I will only have 2 pints left. Was thinking maybe G2G to 12 jars so I can do a regular mono and a shoebox. By then the grains I will noc with the agar I have should be ready to do the 34qt after this one is done. :wink:

Daily progress. 72hrs after shake and knocking on wood... Still no signs of any contamination.

Daily update on progress. Some are faster than others but seem to be colonizing well without any signs of contamination. My only concern are grains that are stuck on the clear glass part of the jar. It is cool to see the single grains colonizing with mycelium, but am wondering if they all will colonize? Keeping fingers crossed! Hoping that at least 6 of the 8 will be ready to spawn by next week.

I'm pretty sure they will be man. You seem to know what you're doing.

I love wbs too, it's my second favorite grain as long as there's no fruit or corn in the mix. My rgs and wbs MSS Alacabenzi (6/8) is going almost as fast as Z. Amazonian is a quick one too. A+ not so much, it's a creeper for me.

Maybe I'll try to post some pics, and start a journal later. We'll see.

Thanks for the vote of confidence! I am really liking grains and am looking forward to seeing the end results of my first bulk grow. Hoping the other varieties I have (GT, Costa Rican) will perform just as well once I get a chance to transfer the agar I have going to some jars.

How are my jars looking?

I have condensation that has started to form on a few of them which is concerning me. Should I be worried or are they looking good? Hoping to spawn by the end of the coming week as long as thy finish colonizing. This is my first time doing grains and was wondering if anyone sees anything that I should be concerned about?

Some condensation happens sometimes... Wetness is mainly a concern when the whole jar has a certain wet look to it. Keep an eye on them and watch for anything popping up, but I don't see anything so far.

As the myc grows it will produce heat which can cause condensation in the jars.
