Has anyone realized how funny and cheesy Fast and Furious is despite being so popular? * 2

I was watching a podcast where at one point they started talking about fast and furious just how funny and ridiculous some parts of the movie is. The action is so over the top it's literally Michael Bay on meth and steriods. One of my most favourite scenes is when Dom got married in a tank top LMAO.

yea it is base level entertainment best suited for kids and young adults. most popular media is like this as it hits all generational demographics.

i just remember back when it came out everyone was putting a shitty walmart aftermarket muffler thing to make their shitty car cool.

Fast & Furious is a totally formulaic, conceptual ripoff of Point Break: 1. Old cops are tracking criminals 2. Criminals are into something really 'hip', 'cool', 'extreme', and 'dangerous'. In Point Break it's surfing, in F&F it's racing. 3. Old cops send young cop in undercover to try and act 'cool'. 4. Special friendship develops between young undercover cop and gang leader, who gets cop high and laid 5. Young cop becomes disillusioned with police work, and lets gang leader go.
