Some would suggest that the color of the lighter was known.  That unconsciously, you had seen the lighter, and that it was blue.  The mind's awareness is very very limited.  The unconscious mind holds a lot more information.

I've had experiences like that.  Such as dreaming what was on the muted TV. Some would say I had seen the TV in my sleep, even though I don't recall looking at it.

Yet they also say a puzzle in the paper gets easier the more people that have finished it.  So if you are number 1,000,000 to try a puzzle, it's easier than if you are number 10 to attempt the puzzle.

thought is truly a 6th sense, just as we sense a smell, we can sense a thought with our mind, as i did in this experience.

the power of thought is rooted in the ability to focus attention.

the more attention, the stronger our power of will, the more influence our thoughts have on other people, and things.

the more we understand, the stronger our mind becomes, but there is a path, where certain knowledge must be obtained in order to get to the next "level".

first is the awakening, then comes god, then comes the renouncement, then the cursing, then ultimate freedom and total enlightenment, once that is understood we realize the purpose for obtaining spiritual gifts, they are all we have as spirit is all we are.

It's almost like I can read your god damn mind.

I'm thinking sure, when you say that thought is a 6th sense I can dig it, but then I'm thinking, this kents surely gonna say it's because of god, so I keep reading and bam there it is, right in the kisser.

Go burn in hell; that's the power of my thought.

god as in reality, it IS god, if anything is.

whenever people talk about a real experience with god, and not some delusion like most, they are referring to the supreme reality, what we see when we achieve christ consciousness, which comes after the awakening.

I hate the word god too but it grabs christians attention more than 'reality', and im trying to encourage them all the renounce their faith. there is no god, but I insist on using the word to grab more attention.

There is a ‘God’ if it refers to the ‘supreme reality’ which is a commendable alternative term.

There’s just no ‘God’ who resembles the ‘man in the sky’  form that many atheists seemingly envisage to subconsciously reinforce (through ego) their disbelief of anything more significant that what they themselves are.

That very miscomprehension, sets the straw man and questions such as ‘If God exists why does he allow [bad circumstance] arise’, (whilst coincidentally, the same ego mind assures the person that they don’t need to help those causes, denouncing all personal responsibility).

‘If a Supreme Reality exists, why does it allow [bad circumstance]’, doesn’t have the same ring, and of course, doesn’t make any sense to question, since the element of nannyship dissipates.

‘God’ carries a taboo in many minds unfortunately, and, as mentioned, the ego, having no scope to,comprehend anything other that the form of its own vessel, assumes ‘God’ to be a man.  As a result, many atheists simply adhere to the character of the well known pantomime, dictated by cliche’ notion and imagery, which no-one (religious / spiritual minded people inclusive) can take remotely seriously.

The first step in understanding isn’t to try and comprehend God.  It’s to comprehend how to break the shackles of the self, to dispel all limiting detriments, which in turn leads to free thinking and overall liberty.
