the power of thought
    #24986183 -

one day i lost my blue lighter, and i was with this chick i was dating and asked her to help look for it. she started looking for it when i was blasted with an energy that made me think "blue" and i asked her if she was thinking of the color of the lighter, and she gave me a weird look and said yes.

so even the most simple of thoughts can penetrate the minds of other people.

maybe knowing is the key to sychronicity

like maybe we sang that song right before it came on the radio because we KNEW it would be on the radio, perhaps delivered to us because the radio host was thinking of the song while he was doing his broadcast, and we subconsciously picked up on the energy he was expressing.

your story is backwards
while searching for your blue lighter
both of you were still thinking blue (+other stuff)
this is the ordinary mind in operation.

you are making a big deal about a reversed perception of causality.

lol no brother it was much different, the energy told me she wasnt just thinking of the lighter but the actual color of it, and it wasn't just a guess, i felt the energy tell me 'blue'.

and it's not a big deal, I just wanted to express to everyone that a thought is more powerful than we think, perhaps it creates a physical force that we can learn to understand and use to move objects. a much simpler explanation for telekinesis.

Synchronicity happens everyday; otherwise it doesn't.

My guess is you forget what it was to think when you are not stoned.
All these things are part of thinking normally.

sure the chances were vastly limited but she could have been thinking about just the image of a lighter  or nothing at all, and instead she was thinking of its color and i could tell from the energy of her thought, maybe it was the way the specific thought affect her movement but either way it hit me *blue* like a blue blanket got draped over me, and i was right.

I've experienced some trippy stuff with telepathy and the sort. I don't think I would attribute the power to thought though, but maybe? I always interpreted it differently. As intention or the emergence of... molded energy -- the shaping of energy in a meaningful way. Not necessarily tied to thoughts specifically but rather to meaningful manifestation. Feelings come through more than thoughts for me but that's my inclination.

the molded energy you speak of is a thought object,
some different details from word based thoughts but thoughts none the less.

I think thought is an attempt to follow reality, what is really going on.. and we think in attempt to catch the true meaning that pervades everything.. like a penetration into knowledge.. so in thinking we have thought.. and that is a type of perception.. but it may or may not be the real representation..

So thoughts can be true or false.. to varrying degrees

The power of thought is most potent at synchronicities.. because it shows your in  tune with the true basic knowledge of whats going on..

since all thought objects (some geometries, some phrases, some gestures, some just feelings) arise as an associative response to conditions that include sensations (physical/body origin) and any other thought objects(associative origin) which together comprise the activity in the brain/mind, we can simplify this statement as:

thought objects arise associatively as a consequence of activity in the mind.

using this clear lens we can say:
1. synchronicity aligned thought objects are expected results of activity in the mind that is close to sensory/body/physical origins.

2. all thought activity is associative, so the term "attempts" is an inappropriate word for the general cases of thoughts, however, many cases of learned behavior (which is associative) include stages which are trial and error, and each trial has the same class or meaning as "attempt". I mention this because the linkages between successive thought objects is always associative, never "attemptive", attempt is more of a meta abstraction or meta construction, in which the quality of the behavior (many discrete thought objects) in a series may be  construed as an attempt.

3. the idea of synchronicity - vibrating/moving synchronously, and the experience of happening together, underscores the whole mechanism and rationale of proxy magic, in which a person invokes a result indirectly by doing something ritualistically with the same shape, the same color, the same sound, the same idea, etc. Often repeatedly to gain an effect. This would be the "Power of Thought", and if it works, it relies on thinking people noticing the ritual and adding their conformance to that direction of thought.
So the power of thought outside our minds is that it is a bit contagious in other people's minds; and because of repetition, it creates associative linkages that are experienced as apprehension, preparedness, anticipation, etc. A specific lack or emptiness that matches the hoped-for thing.

This does not mean thoughts have the power to actually make events happen, but it does facilitate the recognition of events that match what we hope for.

Hmmm, can you have synchronicities based on someone elses thoughts only?

I would also posit the idea that activity of the outside world or activity any where at all could produce synchronicity.

I basically agree with your subjective/objective view of personal activities in the mind.. but I wouldnt try to limit it to only one person controls all.. there IS that division.. in fact I would say that synchronicity is based on division of all parts..

Otherwise your leaning on solipsism..

the world is a metronome, it ticks in a chorus. we make little cheep sounds with the rest of the flock.

if you pay attention there are tons of synchronicities all the time
