What do you guys do when you get sick, besides lots of rest and fluids? Just wonderin if you got any secrets cause I feel shit.

I like to baby myself when I get sick...I know that I probably won't heal any faster, but it makes me feel better to do the following:

Cuddling with my favorite stuffed animal
Watching some good movies
Hot chocolate and candy
Scented bubble bath!!
Curling up with my cats with a good book

:smile: Helps me deal with the sickness every time!

My friend cut up some garlic and boils it. Then he puts the broth in a shot glass and drink it. It kills everything. Try it, but it taste like shit.

Zicam. It really works! At least the nose spray does, the other products look kind of gimmicky to me. Just be sure to use it as soon as you feel a cold coming on.

I usually take some theraflu, or some delsym, sometimes I take a little more then the normal dosage, but not too much more, and drink lots of tomato juice and Orange juice and vitamins...

I'm in the same boat and I think Zicam is the best bet. Orange juice, zicam, sleep...... 10 days later the cold is gone! JK I hope that it will go quick for both of us.

I'm one of those stubborn fucks who believes in letting my immune system get all the practice it can. So basically I just ignore the discomfort as much as possible and go about my bussiness.

It pisses my wife off every time....

I take a 1000mg vitamin C capsule as often as I can (once a day preferably, but usually 4 or 5 times a week). If I feel like I coming down with something, I pop 2 capsules. I haven't gotten sick (including common cold) for over a year.

fresh minced (uncooked is best) garlic does wonders..............

fresh garlic contains a very potent antibiotic....forget the name right now though

DayQuil/NyQuil - repeat.
Vitamin C.
Chicken Noodle Soup really does help (add lots of garlic, too, just because)
I found these quite nice tasting Zinc lozenges at Target - cherry flavored, but not medicine-cherry flavored (like even how cherry candy often tastes like medicine -- this is actually good). They seem to help, or at least soothe a sore throat.

I have heard echinacea can help significantly.  Though lots of water and rest usually does the job for me :smile:
