hi everyone. been really hard to find any libs.
somerset/dorset area.
am i the only one having this problem?
ive spent many many hours looking aswell.
if anyone can help it would be much appriciated.

I'm in the same area as you and have struggled this year. I have only found around 15 after many hours of looking :lol:

Still going to keep heading out as there has been a lot of rain recently. I think checking lower altitude places is probably a good move now as the temperatures are very low and have had a mild frost about a week ago. I have found some libs since the frost so I dont think it was too damaging.

Have you got anything at all so far?

hi mate, yes so far we had a batch of 60, wasnt enough split between two, 1 lot of 30 and one lot of 15.
but.....that was some serious serious hunting. yesterday for example,was out all day and found 2.
weve spent hours and hours to find them and is very frustrating lol.
im only able to hunt at weekends and im using all day saturday and all day sunday, been doing that since mid to late october till now, and been unable to trip.:frown:

Well you've had more success than I have so far :lol:

But I'm very much in the same boat, it's quite frustrating but I guess that's just how it goes sometimes. My work pattern moves around so I'm able to get out quite a lot during the week as well which allows me more time to hunt for them but still haven't come up with much.

Also I think we are going to have some heavy frosts on the way soon which will put an end to the season unfortunately :sad:

im hoping for a giant last minute haul but if that doesn't happen I think I will be growing my own.

well im considering that.... because weve struggled so far we decided to order some hawaiian truffles. we got two 22g packs and split between 3 so 14.6g each. 20 mins after consuming we were all violently sick. very little effect, maybe a few giggles but my god they were rough. so dissapointing. proper nasty. just want some damn libs lol.

I don't have any experience with truffles but have always been skeptical about ordering them. I have a friend who ended up with the police turning up to his house because the package was opened on route from Amsterdam! Amazingly nothing really came of it and he was let off with a strong warning.

Another friend grows all his own mushrooms and has said that after a few attempts it's really not too difficult. The main thing is making sure everything is sterilized properly.

At least with growing Your Own you can be sure of what you are taking as well.

hmmm, thats not good, i honestly think i just recieved a bad batch maybe? i have no idea at all about growing, im totally alien to that, but slightly intrigued :smile:
