Various shrooms seen today in Dorset UK
    #15527094 -

Hello all

Various shrooms seen today in Dorset UK. Several of the same sort that look as though they would endeavour to take over the world after being mutated by a nuclear waste spillage.... ID for interest only, mainly just wanted to share the funky pictures

Cheers

The third one is growing out of the top of a cut tree stump and is small, only about 1.5cm diameter.

What is the latin name of the hermit crab mushroom? Google keeps showing me pictures of stuff in aquaria when I put it in.

Many thanks

I thought it looked like a tiny Trifid, Hermit Crab is good as well though. Think it is some sort of elderly puffball.

For the last three I was thinking Russula sp, Galerina sp and Lyophyllum decastes.

Agree on the russula, not sure on the galerina, and the third looks more like rhodocollybia butyracea to me.

What colour were the gills of the third mushroom? My first thought is Gymnopilus, along the lines of Gymnopilus sapineus.

the russula is very common in Golden gate Park, San francisco. It looks exactly the same

generally grassy areas with tree litter mix, cyans also like that habitat

The gills on the third one look about the same colour as the cap. Here is another pic of it on the stump:
