they are illegally here. it is criminal to cross the border with out documentation and being ALLOWED in- hence, anyone who does so otherwise is already breaking the law, right there. simply knowing about it entails that they now have a record if reported. i see you, as a lawyer, follow the approach of "if consequences dictate my course of action, i should play god", ie, try and get away with things, and if no one knows, no harm no foul- but i have principals, unlike you.

Akira. Just stop.

People here illegally have the same rights as citizens. If they are stopped by the police, they only have to provide their name. They don't have to answer questions about their citizenship and unless the police have probable cause to detain them, they are free to go about their business.

I think it was determined early on that the charges have nothing to do with Russia collusion.  That's why the thread topic died a long time ago.

You even made up a fake quote trying to bring Russia into this, but it was called out.

Try me.  Are you even going to make an argument?

What evidence proved collusion between Trump and Russia?  The fact that he did Miss Universe in Russia?

What's the best evidence you've seen so far???

In fact, the Washington Post, who is the leader of Russia nothing burgers, just printed this:

The Mueller indictments aren’t proof of Trump-Russia collusion — just bad judgment

While we're waiting for someone to post evidence of Trump/Russia collusion, here's an interesting new 'vehicle' the Dubai police just got:

It's the closest tie to Russia this thread has so far.

That's the opinion page. There is at least one opinion piece from right wing authors every single day in the Post.

Quote:
Marc Alexander Thiessen (1967) is an American author, columnist and political commentator. He served as a speechwriter for United States President George W. Bush (2004–2009) and Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld (2001–2004).

A member of the trump campaign has already pled guilty to lying about his contacts with Russia while working for the campaign. Why do these guys keep lying? Trump lied about this. He was in a meeting papadopoulos told him that Russia had emails stolen from the Clinton campaign (months before anyone but the FBI and the DNC knew about the hack).

BTW, this also confirms that Russia was responsible for the hacking.

But keep on defending the putin crime syndicate.

I know, but they won't post opinion pieces that are without merit.

Because there's a new McCarthy era going on right now, if you haven't noticed.  People are afraid to admit they even travelled to Russia for fear of being demonized.  Still, Papadopoulos shouldn't have lied, and he deserves to get in trouble for lying.

You should read the Washington Times opinion piece:  "If the Russians were offering Clinton emails through Papadopoulos, 'that would mean Trump and his campaign had nothing to do with the acquisition of the emails' and thus had not committed a crime. Accepting 'dirt' from Russian sources would have been unsavory if it happened. But that’s arguably less unsavory than the Clinton campaign paying for dirt on Trump from Russian sources."

Also, your own article summarized the timing of the hack:

Quote:
September 2015: The FBI made its first ill-fated attempt to alert the Democratic National Committee (DNC) that its computer network had been compromised.

November 2015: The FBI alerted the DNC information was being transmitted back to Russia.

It sounds like Russia might have gotten the information after the hack.  Who hacked the DNC will likely never be known.

Actually, accepting anything of value  from a foreign source WITHOUT PAYING FOR  IT is against the law, as it would be considered a donation. Paying a fair price for that thing of value is perfectly fine. Campaigns are allowed to pay foreigners for services, they can't accept them for free.

There is also the matter of the fact that those emails are stolen documents. It's one thing for the press to publish them, it's another thing completely for a campaign to be offered them. Why didn't the campaign immediately go to authorities to report this. Do they have no ethics? Why do they lie over and over again. It's lying that convinces me they did something illegal.

Did the Trump campaign ever get any stolen e-mails?  No.

I already said "Papadopoulos shouldn't have lied, and he deserves to get in trouble for lying." He's a nobody who tried to make a name for himself by getting dirt on Hillary, but never got anywhere with that.  Put him in jail for lying.

The trump campaign benefited from what amounted to a five month long coordinated attack against his opponent "as part of Russia's effort to help Trump" (the Russians words, not mine.) they didn't have to take possession of the emails because Russia took care of that part on trumps behalf.

We also know that around the time the emails started to leak, the trump campaign started to very publicly take pro-Russian positions, such as attacking NATO, criticizing sanctions and removing pro-Ukraine language from the GOP platform. I find it highly unlikely that there wasn't some coordination between Russia and the trump campaign to promote those issues. Somebody advised trump to start attacking NATO as "irrelevant." Who did it and why? If these are coincidences, they are very inconvenient for trump.

We also know the administration has lied over and over again about their contacts with Russia. "Was anyone on the campaign in contact with Russian officials" they repeatedly denied that. Well, now we know that the fact that a member of the campaign knew  Russia was in possession of Clinton emails and raised the issue in at least one meeting that trump and sessions attended two months before the hacking was revealed. Sessions perjured himself multiple times in front of congress when specifically asked if anything like that meeting ever occurred. He needs to resign, the senate needs to ask law enforcement to investigate and charge sessions with perjury.

Its a drip drip drip of revelations concerning Russia - eberytime something the administration previously lied about. How do you know papadopolous got nowhere with his efforts? Because Trump says so? THEY LIE. THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THE TRUTH. THEY WILL LOOK STRAIGHT INTO THE CAMERA AND LIE TO YOUR FACE.

This administration is screwed. Even if they can't prove the campaign made deals with the Russians, there are going to be many more indictments for lying, for illegal business activity, for who know what else. The trump administrations lack of honestly has made it the most corrupt administration in decades.

No, those are your words.  Unless you can source that quote.

Wrong.  Wikileaks took care of it and they said the source of the emails was not a state party.

That's one of the few positions I agree with Trump on.  Why do you insist the US must be adversarial towards Russia (which is no longer communist)?  Because Hillary told you to?

There were only rumors that someone in Russia had Hillary's emails, which the Trump administration never received from them.

How do you know papadopolous got somewhere with his efforts?  Do you not get the concept of innocent until proven guilty?

And the 'drip drip drip' of information is intended to trick people like you.  One thousand times zero is still zero.

Wow!  After all this, you finally admit there is no proof of dealings with Russia!!!

I have no respect at all for the Trump administration, and it wouldn't surprise me at all if people on Trump's team are found guilty of plenty of other things.
