Portabella Prints

I'm thinking about trying to grow portabella's and baby bella's and I cant find any prints or syringes for them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I tried that and I cant seem to get a good print off of a store bought portabella.

Thanks though, I was just looking for some other ideas.

Have you tried cloning a store bought portabella? Then if you can get that culture to fruit, you'll have your own print.

I've heard portabellas are impossible to clone for some reason. but what do i know...

What about doing a sterile tissue culture in honey water?
Anyone know how long it takes for portabella's to fruit?

Ive cloned them on peroxide agar

snap them open and take out the sterile tissue. It bruises and gos black but after a few days to a week a few fuzz up and start growing again.

It works.
Ive found it harder to get it onto spawn actually
id send you one but i let mine go and havent bothered getting a new one- wish i had tho as im running some compost expts with A subrufescens and itd be good as a comparison.

If you can get spawn and buy or make compost and condition it then i imagine not hard
Its a learning curve tho

a third way i guess, not like oysters and cubes, not like shiitake but a third whole division of mushroom growing and one not well outlined online for small scale home growers

Im doing expts now with a low tek neglectful style bucket o'agaricus type method
Ill do a grow log when i get it right...
