I just got my bike permit :lol:

I'm nice though. I don't rev the engine when it's unnecessary and I use the clutch when I can. And I don't think my bike is particularly loud either.

I'm not sure what you mean by "I use the clutch when I can."  Are you kicking it up and down gears without pulling the clutch in, or something?

Clutchless upshifts are one of the coolest things about riding a bike. How else are you going to upshift mid-wheelie?

Clutchless upshifts are really not that hard on the gearbox. Just put a little pressure on the selector and roll off and on the throttle really quick. When you roll off, the engagement dogs unload and the next gear slips perfectly into place. I very rarely use the clutch when upshifting, actually, and I'm sure most advanced riders do the same. Try it next time you're out, you'll love it.

As long as you don't put so much pressure on the lever that you damage the selector mechanism, there's very little chance of doing any damage to the 'box.

I always use the clutch when I shift, though I have heard about speed shifting which I haven't really looking into where I'm learning. I don't know anything about it.

by saying "using the clutch when I can" I mean in terms of just free wheeling and riding using the bikes momentum. like pulling on the clutch and leaning of the gas when riding by animals or something like that so I'm not noisy
